Perfect replacment
Perfect replacement. Fits perfectly, works correctly, just like the OEM part. This is the second replacement screen I had to order. Both my issue.First time, I dropped my ipad on concrete. smashed the corner, and broke the glass. Order a replacement, all was well. Then at night, my son dropped my ipad in my driveway, and I backed over my poor ipad with my SUV..... (I did have a griffon case on it this time, but a 2 ton suv won out). turns out, I also needed something called a 'mid frame' as well, but hey, you can't see that part while in a griffon case.Be aware, it does not come with the home button (see the picture? See the little hole on the left? That is where the home button goes). You will need to harvest your home button and assembly from your old screen and mount it in this one.Depending on what happened to your ipad, this may be a very messy, glass shard experience. I would prefer to spend a few more bucks and get the home button pre-mounted, but am cautious about trying different sellers, so I will deal with the button experience.

Good Screen, Good Price, Needed more tape
Great product and great shipping. My only complaint was that there were no directions, granted, I just did a youtube video to figure it out, however, there were no directions for where to put the tape on the new glass. Again, not a terrible thing...but I feel like I needed more tape. I found that it wanted to pop back up afterwords. I had to go buy additional double sided tape to put in the cracks to fill the gaps (now letting it set over night). This is my only complaint, I needed more tape...maybe you will too, or maybe not. But I would definitely buy from them again. As far as the surface feels...very sturdy. The top of it does feel a bit different, almost like my finger sticks to the top when I swipe, but thats it. Great Product.

Surprisingly Good
I expected to have some problems with this part, especially after having read reviews on Amazon of other iPad digitizers, but honestly, the quality of this part was nearly flawless. The part arrived quickly, and was an exact fit in every way, indistinguishable to me from the original part it replaced -- other than being NOT cracked <grin>. The seller even included TWO sets of adhesive strips, which came in extremely handy, because I made a small mistake at first. Beware that it's nearly impossible to remove the old screen without damaging the WiFi antenna, and that Apple should be cursed for gluing the iPad 2 together in such a manner that a serious heat gun is required to separate the glass (the iPad just laughed at my hair dryer).

Worked great! Have recommendations to avoid pitfalls!
This product worked as expected and promised - I am very happy with the results. In my case the digitizer was shattered from a blow but I could tell the Ipad operated fine otherwise. Just a heads up for you do-it-yourselfers. I consider myself fairly technical but if you follow the videos you should have a working Ipad! I think these companies should include the proceedures rather than just supply parts but can't be derogatory here when they are upfront about what they supply! The below comments are where I was stalled in my repair.I am offering some gotcha's many did not mention as I repaired my Ipad 2.Be sure to clean all adhesive from the frame! I CAREFULLY used Q-Tips and Acetone to do this - my warning - Be very careful not to excessively load the Q-Tip with so much fluid it drips into the frame or other switches etc you intend to keep. I took my time and had no issues. After reviewing many comments and warnings on how customers cracked the digitizer during re-installation I firmly believe this can only be caused by the frame having damage (I call it hanger rash from normal use - especially if you have children using it) and the damage left unrepaired prior to re-installation. Follow the you tube disassembly videos but be sure to re-form the small aluminum lip before re-assembly. I used some scrap steel I formed on my grinder, then a light touch with a small hammer to Slowly re-form to original. I used one with a tighter radius than the corners to reform the corners, and a small flat about 1/2 inch wide to reform some dings on the straight sides. Once re-shaped, the digitizer gasket and digitizer dropped right in place.I did damage my Wi-Fi antenna during dis-assembly and had to replace it - guessing this happens 50% of the time. Pretty hard NOT to destroy it during disassembly in my opinion! When replacing the WI-FI antenna you must remove the motherboard (again see your videos). Be careful - use a plastic tool if you have one to pry it loose from the adhesive holding it to the frame. I used a metal tool and consider myself lucky I did not damage the motherboard but I did cover it in a couple layers of Duct Tape for protection.Be absolutely sure to completely power the Ipad down prior to digging into the disassembly. What you do not find out until afterwards is failure to do so can cause damage to the backlight circuit. Research videos with this description on Youtube and you will see for yourself. I DID power down as suggested however during re-assembly found the display did not illuminate - but I could see a faint display indicating it was functioning without the backlight. As it turns out the connector to the motherboard was not properly seated and once corrected it worked fine. However the new digitizer did not work! This again was due to my re-assembly error not completely seating the connector. There is a small white line on the digitizer cable and this must be seated up to meet the board connector. Once I found this and corrected it everything worked great.I did not use any special tools bar one. I touched up the edge of an old putty knife on a sander, and used jewlers screwdrivers. I did go to Harbor Freight and buy a set that had a 000 (triple ought) Phillips. This worked well on the tiny screws. I used wood skewers as my pry tools and spacers to put it together once the adhesive was removed.Overall I have a total of about 4 hours invested because I am Mr Cautious, made a few tools, and I experienced the problems above. If you can avoid the pitfalls you can probably do this in about 2 hours total. I spent 30 minutes removing the old glass - 45 cleaning the frame of adhesive, 15 reforming the frame, and about 15 of final re-assembly. The rest of the time was spent troubleshooting. I recommend a can of spray air be handy during final assembly to keep the screen free of lint etc.Good Luck!UPDATE - Dec 2015, Original Purchase Feb 2015: Have had 2 of these crack and believe after further research, these are made of plain glass and the best replacements should be made of tempered glass. I would now source OEM glass or equivalent for longevity.

Good quality and fast shipping!!!
I bought this screen based on the reviews. I was not disappointed. It arrived quickly (faster than estimated) and was packaged well. Good quality product. Make sure you find the adhesive before you throw the box away as mine was not wrapped in the bubble wrap with the screen. No directions, but who would use them anyways with the "watch and fix" luxury of You Tube! It was a super easy fix. Took me approximately 20-25 minutes. NOW... what I did wrong... the information in the video is there for a reason. There was a point when the instructions said to check the metal housing for any damage (mine was dropped on the corner causing the shattered screen) and pry/form it back into shape. I took a quick, but not thorough look and moved on and finished the repair. Used it for a few days when I noticed the top right corner looked as if the glass had raised a little. It had NOT! In hind sight, that is the corner I dropped it on, and while repairing it, I failed to notice the tiny little dent from dropping it. This caused that corner to not seat 100%. I did not notice it when I placed the new screen because that corner is facing away from me, as I repaired it in the position that I use it. SO... I PUSHED DOWN on it to seat it and CRACK!!! It was all my fault. The product is great, just head this warning (among the other ones along the instruction path). Good luck!
