Was mostly concerned about these being cheap breaking and flying into my eyes when cocking the crossbow but I can say they are plenty strong. String was a little longer for the bow I have so I loosened the knots and move the handles up a little and it was perfect. I'd prefer to have to much then to little anyway so I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

I picked this up originally as a spare for the one that came with my crossbow. When you are going to the woods, it is easy to misplace something that was stuffed in a pocket somewhere after a successful hunt. And while I still have the original factory cocking rope, that one is now the spare! This is made of sturdier cord and has much more comfortable handles that all four of my fingers easily fit around while not being so bulky that my thumb can't wrap around. Easy to adjust for the correct length. I pulled the knot out of the handle on one end with needle nose pliers, tied a new knot at the correct length, cut off the excess, melted the end onto the knot, and pulled it back into the handle recess in a couple minutes. Works perfectly.

I bought this for a cross bow gifted from a neighbor. Despite being well made - I am having a hard time cocking the crossbow. After watching several videos on the subject, I looks like I need to change my strategy. This cocking rope is well made - no doubt. It is long and meant to be shortened by the consumer. To shorten, pull the ropes out of the 'T' handle and re-tie. Cut if needed. This is well made and should last as long as the crossbow does. The price is right too. Recommended.

Just what I needed! I lost the rope cocker for one of my two crossbows, and the one that I have is too short for the bigger one. I ordered this one and I’m perfectly happy with it. It was easy to cut yo size and it works just as it should.

Seems like it will work but it's so long that it's almost unusable. Before you start pulling the handles are almost your body and you quickly loose your leverage. I read other reviews stating this fact but thought since the pull on my bow is a little longer id be fine. Unless you're desperate and not wanting to spend a lot, look elsewhere. Otherwise, handles and cord seem strong and good value.
