SSD Temp dropped by about 10 C degrees after using the heatsink

The SSD (AData) which came with my new desktop computer didn't have heatsink, and the temperate was hovering around low 40s (C). After applying this heatsink the temp dropped by about 10 degrees in the low 30s. The heatsink is working as intended, which is great.

Excellent performance for the cost.

I am shocked at how well this is working for me. I am running a Samsung 970 EVO plus. In my original build I was using the motherboard's m.2 heatsink, but due to some build changes I wasn't able to fit it back on. I was very skeptical of the "sandwich" model this heatsink uses, but there isn't a lot of variety in aftermarket m.2 heatsink/coolers at the moment so I figured for the cost it wouldn't hurt to try it.With no heat sink installed I was very easily able to get my m.2 up to 61 degrees C by running a simple read/write test on the drive for about 75 seconds, at which point I shut off the test. When I shut it off, it was still climbing a degree every 2-3 seconds. After installing this heat sink, I let the drive come up to the normal running temp (around 43C before and about 40-41C after in my case) and re-ran the same test as before. This time even after running the full test twice (about 3 minutes) it was still only at 48C and seemed to be holding pretty steady there. I did not remove the product sticker from the SSD, either, which would probably get me even a little better heat transfer.Installation was pretty straight forward. I wish there was some sort of alignment notch to help make sure the m.2 drive was properly centered in the heatsink, but it was easy enough to check and move if needed. Since I saw others mention having to buy thinner thermal pads - I don't know if the thermal pads have changed or not, but I had no problems using the ones supplied with the heatsink.

7 degree drop in temps on a Samsung 960 EVO 250GB

I have an ASUS IX CODE z270, and I am using the Samsung as OS drive. When I originally installed the drive I had put the cover back on that hides the M.2 slot. When I noticed that my drive wasn't living up to expectations I started to look for solutions. One of the solutions suggested that I might be thermal throttling, and I was; it was the controller that was thermal throttling. Before I took the cover off I ran the Samsung Magician Performance Benchmark test. According to HWINFO64 I was hitting 50c on drive temp 1, and 81c on drive temp 2.I took the cover off, and ran the test again. This time I hit about 40c on drive temp 1, and 61c on drive temp 2. Today I received this heatsink. installed it, and ran the test again. My drive temp 1 hit a max of 36c, and drive temp 2 hit a max of 54c. Right now at idle I am looking at drive temp 1 of 31c, and drive temp 2 of 37c.I do not have direct airflow to the M.2. More of air is getting bounced off my video card's waterblock. So the video card is not adding to the heat.27c degrees total lost between the cover removal, and the heatsink added. I honestly think that this product is a great deal, and performs for 11.95!

It's an NVMe heatsink.

It lowered my temps by 2° or 3° at best. You're better off just making sure there is air blowing toward your NVMe drives if you want cooling. However I bought it to fit my case theme and it does a great job at that.

Awesome Anodized Red Heatsink for your NVME drive A+++

I bought this product for looks only but boy was I surprised to see the quality of materials and workmanship involved in this product. The package looks like a SATA SSD drive and then you open it in half to see everything laid out nice and neat for the install. It worked flawlessly on my ASUS Crosshair VI Hero motherboard, and the heatsink even came with extra screws and one worked to screw down the NVME drive/heatsink to the motherboard (I don't know about you, but I built this system a couple of years ago, and I cannot remember where I put the Corsair screws from the case for the NVME mounting screws, lol). The product come diss-assembled and ready for your NVME install. It took less than 5 minutes to screw the heatsink together, sandwiching the NVME drive with thermal pads (supplied by the way, nice touch!), and then the final screw to attach the drive to the motherboard. I apologize for no pictures as I have a water pump / reservoir installed temporarily in the case blocking the view of the heatsink. Last thoughts. I would buy from this supplier again in a heartbeat! I kept the SATA SSD-like box because it looks too cool to toss out. A+++ Thanks again!

Great Cooling Technology

Easy to assemble. Great fitment. I have black, red and blue ones. I use these colors as an easy reference to what kind of drive is in use.

Solid cooler for hot M.2 SSDs

Nice packaging. Simple instructions. Came with everything necessary for install. Lowered my benchmark temps for a rear of the motherboard mounted ssd in an open case test setting by around 17-20 degrees C. Unfortunately, this heatsink is slightly too thick for seating my GPU appropriately in a 4L sandwich case. My fault, not the product's. Would definitely use in a system with fewer clearance issues (at its price, don't mind keeping it for a future application).

Exellent heatsink/cooler for M2 NVMe SSDs

Very nice heatsink/cooler for the M2 NVMe SSD. I picked up two, one red and one blue for my 1TB Western Digital NVMe SSDs. It is very easy to put together and fits the SSDs well. In this kit, you get three silicone adhesive pads (one for the front, one for the back and one extra) and seven screws (6 +1 extra) to hold it all together. The fins help dissipate heat and the different colors add some pizazz to your system. Very satisfied and would buy again.
