Terrible wax.

WorSt emulsifier I ever bought. Puts all my carefully crafted formulas to waste. Requires almost 10% to form a good emulsion. Must be used with stearic acid. Horrible horrible horrible . The usage ratio is too high and then it makes your end product so waxy you wonder if you just wanted to make emulsifier to apply on skin. It needs to be reformulated and the ingredients need to be disclosed. Please do not buy this wax. Eek.Oh God. I came back and bought it again without knowing. All my creams are ruined. What kind of emulsifier needs up to 25% formula to work ?

I almost sent this back due to bad reviews. Decided to make my face cream

I almost sent this back due to bad reviews. Decided to make my face cream. Turned out perfect. Used it with rose water, steric acid, coconut oil and an essential oil. A tablespoon of all oils and stearic and the rose water after. About a1/4 cup. Didnt really even have to measure I added to the hot oils and it turned into a light nice white cream.

Makes lotion easy!

I'd never made lotion before, but when I found a super-simple recipe (1/4 cup oil, 1/4 cup emulsifying wax, and 1.5 cups warm water) I thought I'd give it a try. It was fun! And very easy. I used some cocoa butter and shea butter with thinner oils in my 1/4 cup of oil and the lotion (when cooled) came out very thick like a cream, and very white. I'm going to try using a little less wax next time... So much fun! And you can use only the ingredients you want, add fragrance or leave it plain.

I thought people were wrong and beeswax would be fine. Um

Yep, this is what I needed to make lotion. I thought people were wrong and beeswax would be fine. Um, I was an idiot! If you add water, you must use some type of emulsifying wax or additive. If you don't add water, it will be a "butter" and it's harder to spread, but works fine that way as well. This is a great product, earth-friendly, and I had great results.

Check with your country customs rules and regulations concerning cosmetic ingredients!

It arrived on time but was blocked at customs as it was considered a pharmaceutical/cosmetic product in my Indian ocean island! It seems we need a special permit for that kind of order. It took them two weeks to clear my package!!!I made myself an anti-wrinkle eye contour cream that has oils, distilled water, rose hydrosol and essential oils in it and it's a dream. It came together perfectly with the emulsifying wax.

Doesn’t work like it used to.

I’ve been buying this E wax for years. It used to come in a silver bag. I don’t know if just the packaging was changed or if the formula was changed, or even if it’s the same product. I went to Millard’s website and information is scant. I now have problems with my emulsions breaking. I have to re- melt and do a lot of whipping, which I never had to do before. Even after all this, the texture of my creams is not what it was. Some reviewers have mentioned a need for the addition of steric acid, but I don’t see this in the directions. I am now looking for an alternative product.

A must for DIY lotions and butters

I have been making my own body butter for a few years now but was never truly satisfied with the consistency until now. I a tablespoon of this in with my iols and whipped it. After letting it set overnight it is truly like whipped butter. Wish I known about this earlier.

Great product

I'm new to making my own lotion and once I found this plant based product I had to try it. My first attempt at lotion I added too much wax which made it very hard. I warmed up some distilled water and added the lotion in my mixer and once I got the consistency I was looking for , I was estatic. After some other tweaks, I have made a lotion that I love better than any store product and so much cheaper. I will continue to use this product as long as you continue to sell it here on Amazon.
