Does what it says on the tin..
V good. Utube reviews are v good. Which review is terrible, odd since the Pulse 3 review is good and 4 better than 3. Pretty good sound coming out, and obviously things like Boom and Utube Music (on Android) Settings Equalizer (inc custom controls for 9 bands), and other 3rd party apps on ios, w10 and Android will help you to get the best out of it sound-wise. As soon as I ran the app, I got an immediate firmware upgrade , which I read somewhere will take it to Bluetooth 5.*, from 4.*, allegedly getting the delays of about 0.2 secs on movies that you get with Bluetooth < 5.*. The light shows are great, and if like me you like lights that move with the music, this is great. Certainly good value for money, if you like lights with your music..

This is the greatest speaker ive had thats potable
Its loud bass trebble is insane the light shows are fun and like a party lol its a good price to not the best price but good to guarentee you a genuine jbl product there a lot of fakes out there dont get scammed do your reasearch before you buy the only problem i found with this device is the bqttery power doesnt last as long as id like as i only use it in the shower for 20 mins at a time but i have the speaker playing music for about 30mins a day it lasts maybe 2 and a half 3 days which is not what i expected from a great manufactura like jbl but alk in all its great just get a high powered power bank to charge it on the go i guess

WOW - amazing quality
I was a little skeptical of buying this as i had read mixed reviews. Some people said the pulse 3 was better, others preferred this version. I've never had either but i can tell you that the sound and quality this thing emits is utterly AMAZING! its super loud, super clear and it looks stunning in person. It also has very good base as well. The quality of the speaker when you touch it, the smoothness of the light show, its just amazing. Its also fairly heavy which just adds to the premium feel. Absolutely incredible and super easy to setup. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Amazing bit of kit
Fantastic bit of kit.... bought ours after purchasing one at Christmas for our daughter. We were that impressed we needed our own. Brilliant sound and love the lights. Buy it...you won't be disappointed

Fantastic Light show with mediocre sound
The Pulse 4 is finally here and it brings some great new features and loses some great features too. The lights work better and the sound is more crisp and clear but that’s not at the mercy of losing some bass and some features! What’s good:- Excellent wow factor light show second to none and a large improvement over the pulse 3. (It finally looks like a lava lamp, 70s lovers rejoice)- Clever speaker design that allows sound to bounce off your ceiling and produce a trulyimmersive experience.- Good sound performance but not spectacular.- The new party boost connectivity feature from JBL.- Added light features on the JBL app!- IPX7 rated. Allows for heavy splashes and water contact and submersion in 1M of water for up to 30 minutes. (Don’t try this at home unless you need to)- USB C finally. Now let’s talk about the negative and there’s a few here.- We lost the 3.5mm aux in support from the pulse 3.- Still the same bluetooth capability as the pulse 3. I would have expected the new 5.1 on this entry from JBL in 2019.- No speakerphone support. this feature has been stripped from the pulse 4. Say goodbye to your smart home support.- Bass is slightly less than the Pulse 3 and it’s noticeable too, if you have owned the pulse 3.- No wall socket plug included. This only comes with the cable (Plug not sold separately) It seems JBL expect everyone uses USB wall connectors these days. Very disappointing. My verdict:This is a great entry in the pulse line from JBL but seems like a small update rather than a huge reinvention of the already fantastic pulse speaker. If you look at the upgrade from the Pulse 2 to the Pulse 3 you will see a huge creative new take on the speaker, the change from 3 to 4? Not so much. That’s not to say this isn’t a more polished and immersive experience from JBL.I definitely recommend this product but if you already own a pulse 3, this latest pulse entry isn’t worth the extra £200, however If you are new to the JBL pulse, order this beautiful speaker, turn the lights down low and enjoy a experience like no other!

Great sound and atmosphere for outdoor evenings
Amazing speaker with great sound, perfect for the evening dinner on the terrace outside. The light gives great atmosphere. I haven't found yet how to turn the light off completely which could save extra battery but I am very happy with light patterns choices and colors.

Perfect speaker if you want the lights
Really good speaker considering sound comes from the top and bottom. The lights are of really good quality and look amazing. I also find that at a higher volume the sound is better as the base is more prominent. Although, if you’re looking for purely good sound I’d suggest going for the JBL charge or its counterparts by other brand's

Amazing.
Great speaker with great sound. The way in which the lights interact with the music is tantalising.
