Awesome Rice Cooker
I’m so excited my new rice cooker came today! I’ve been without for three months since my kitty knocked my old one off the fridge! I ordered the pink and it’s so pretty. I immediately washed the parts and made jasmine rice. I followed the instructions and it came out perfect! It took about 30 minutes to cook 2 cups of rice. I can’t wait to try the other features. So far, I’m very pleased.Instructions were easy to follow and I appreciate the fact it has a holder for the spoon.

Just right - solid pick
I had a tiger and it finally broke. I wasn't looking for something fancy, more so consistency, durability and reliability. I bought a replacement Zojirushi (nothing fancy but simple warm/cook button design) and found that it was a bit cheaper in quality (likely a China factory vs Japan model), the inner lid was so flimsy. I tried the Panasonic with no LED screen but 4 or 5 modes, button panel but did not like the fact that you could not remove the lid or the inner lid for cleaning but to it's credit it worked well despite that. I heard good things about Cuckoo so I decided to try this even if it was fancier than I'd want but for the sale price I couldn't argue.Pros:- cooker pot was heavy duty! The weight and thickness was solid so probably accounts for their claim of cooking faster and evenly via induction plate- inner lid can be removed for cleaning- inner lid thicker than other major brands- diameter aka footprint is compact compared to the tradition rounded with the handled lid. Certainly is a more streamlined design.Cons:- I just don't like the "slick" touch panels with a button behind them because eventually the plastics begin to crack and separate. It happens to all after so many presses (washers, dryers, dishwashers, etc). Functionally it's fine, I just know what's coming in the future. Never had to worry about that with the simple warm/cook toggle lever.I will update when the panel plastic cracks but otherwise, it has left a better impression than my past Tiger - japanese made, Zoji - china and Panasonic - japanese. Again, this is compared to the basic+ models, not the fancy touch screen wifi enabled Alexa controlled blah blah blahs. If you want a just fancy enough workhorse that is easy to maintain and use, this is a good pick.Update: After some uses, I confirm it is a solid pick. The rice comes out consistent and the maintenance is easy enough. I tried the firm and sticky rices and they come out as expected. Your water level is key, I find a good rinse and a sit in the water for 10 min before cooking get it just right what I like the texture to be. I haven't tried brown rice or anything but I have tried steaming frozen dumplings and shrimp shumai - nice job (clean it down asap after the shrimp shumai to prevent the seafood taste to leak into the next batch of rice - I may just use something else but good to know this can steam that too). A good tip for that is put a light wipe of oil on the basket so dumpling or shumai delicate skins won't tear.

I LOVE MY CUCKOO.
If you’re like me, you love Asian food but struggle with executive function in the kitchen and in feeding yourself properly.I’d been making steamed/sticky rice on the stovetop for years because I’d never had a rice cooker- which was an extra effort to get the heat and timing right, and even still I tended to struggle to get the rice quality where I wanted it.THIS THING IS AMAZING.All you literally have to do is throw your rice in, fill the water level to the premeasured lines depending on the type of rice, and tell it what kind of rice it’s cooking and.. that’s it. It literally does all the rest. And beyond that, it will keep the rice warm enough to be in the safe range to eat for LITERAL HOURS. I can make rice for dinner and have some leftover for breakfast and to make my lunch with. It’s so easy to clean, too- the nonstick surface is exceptional, the LID LINER even comes out and washes clean with ease. The cooking time is quick, even when not on turbo, and the amount of rice this bad boy will handle is insane. Up to six cups . SIX. The taste and texture of the rice is on POINT, too.God I can’t say enough good things about this rice cooker. Please get yourself one. It’s exceptional.
