Maybe it will deserve a better review when it’s working...
Update: unbelievable. Almost three months since I ordered this treadmill. I’ve received a safety key and reed switch, a new console and now new wiring. This is how my treadmill was left by the technicians last week. This has been a nightmare. Never ever again.Update: on backorder until 02/28/19 ugh!I received the treadmill on 01/10. Over two weeks later I still don’t have an operational treadmill. I was told it must be the safety key and reed switch. So they shipped those parts to me and had a technician team come install them. They installed the parts and it still doesn’t work. The technicians say the entire console/board is defective. It’s Saturday so their dispatch office is closed. They will order the new part and come back to install it. It will likely be over three weeks since I received it before it works. Buy a used treadmill that is in good operating condition and save your time and money. You might also avoid the stress. Right now I feel like I threw almost $1,000 away. Maybe my opinion will change after I receive it.

Motor blew in less than a year
This treadmill has lots of bells and whistles, including a bluetooth speaker (which is o.k., but not nearly loud enough), big cupholders, and a plethora of workout options and settings. It is pretty heavy duty and the guy who set it up said it was one of the more heavy duty ones he's seen, especially for less than $2,000. And speaking of the guy who set it up, he scratched the crap out of my bamboo floor b/c the treadmill was too heavy for him to maneuver alone.Fast forward less than a year (maybe 8 months) and I noticed while using it one day a loud sound that suddenly started coming from the motor area. I called Johnson Fitness (who owns Horizon) and they arranged to send out a service tech. The guy called me to arrange the date and I asked if he would be wearing a mask (covid is no joke, ya'll) and he scoffed and said he didn't believe in that. I said "Ummm...o.k. Well, in order to enter my home, you must be wearing a mask. I promise I keep the AC really low so it is nice and cold in here." After all, I don't know you, dude, nor the germs you've got and for that matter, you don't know me. Let's all be safe, mmmmm kay? Well, the day came for him to come and he pulled a no call/no show. Just as well, I suppose, since he seems to be someone I don't want anything to do with, anyway. I called Johnson Fitness back and told them what happened, so they arranged for another tech to come out. When that tech arrived I told him I thought the sound was coming from the motor. I turned it on. He said "Oh, that's normal." I strongly disagreed and told him I've used dozens of treadmills over the last 30 years in gyms, hotels, apartment/condo buildings, and three I've owned, personally, and I have NEVER heard a sound that loud. But after all, I AM just a woman so, what do I know? I mean, it couldn't possibly be that I could be right and the big, strong repair man could be wrong, could it? SMH....when he insisted I was wrong I told him to pack the **&%% thing up and take it with him b/c I am not going to tolerate a treadmill that is so loud I would have to turn my tv all the way up in an attempt to drown out the sound. When I said that he said "Well, maybe I'll take the cover off and take a look at the motor." Oh, you think? The next thing I hear is "Wow! Ma'am, there are slivers of metal all over the place here. This motor is toast." Well, what do you know? Gosh, Mr. Man, I just can't believe I was right! Must have been a lucky guess. Jerk. A month later a replacement motor arrived and Mr. Man came back to do the install. It has worked ok so far, but I really HATE that I have to oil the belt myself. I don't want to do maintenance on a treadmill and I've never had to do that before. If I had known this was a feature, I wouldn't have purchased. Overall, I would not recommend this treadmill nor any Horizon treadmill, for that matter.

Great treadmill or so I thought.....
This is a nice treadmill. Very solid and quiet. It was well worth the extra $20 to have delivered to my room of choice. I also paid to have it assembled. Money well spent. I would recommend this treadmill. I will update again in a few months.**Update 1/21/2021** Almost made it a year with no problems. Console display died. Called Horizon for service. Message says they are not providing support via phone. Ok...sent a few messages via Horizon website and e-mail with no response. I will update if and when I get some support from Horizon...

Sturdy, Great technology, and Perfect size!
I’ve had this treadmill a little over a month. It runs great. Is perfectly sized. It’s not too big and bulky and doesn’t take up much room. The base is very sturdy and doesn’t feel wobbly when you run. My husband and I put it together. The directions were pretty straightforward. The only negative is sometimes the belt shifts to one side but I’m pigeon toed so if I lean on the opposite side it goes right back. It’s not scraping or anything though. The blue tooth is great. As soon as I turn it on it syncs to my phone which is nice. The base is also long enough for a sizable stride. I’m a 6’0 female and I have plenty of room. The features and programs are great. You can have multiple users w/ your personal information. The customizable program is awesome. You can make your own run with various times, incline, and speed. 👍

Solid treadmill. Decent price for the 3hp motor and the warranty.
Update: I’ve had this treadmill for a year now and have used it daily and it works great. Smooth quiet performance and good computer. The treadmill comes in one very heavy box. It took me a solid 2 hours to put together myself and I’d recommend having 2 people. The unpackaging took about 30 mins itself. Putting it together was straight forward and not too bad.I had a Norditrack previously and I like this better. We will see how it holds up over time. You really can’t get a better warranty. The computer will take a few minutes to get used to. You need to use it as a guest or set up users, but it’s really no big deal. The run pad is quiet and has some good give to save your joints. It’s unfortunate that this got some poor reviews. And that’s from people who got a bad one from the start. Mine worked great right out of the box. I even found a factory technician check off list that had been filled out from being inspected before packaging which was a first. So far a sturdy solid treadmill for 999.00.
