The best electric heater on the market
This heater is amazing. I used to be in the hardware store business and we sold this heater. It is easily the best electric heater you can buy. It costs a little more than other heaters, but heats so much better. Its small size is deceiving, but it will produce more heat than heaters that are much larger in size. In fact, this heater will keep warm a room up to 400 sq. feet, with no other source of heat. And it is very gentle on electricity usage. In my store we kept one running on an endcap all the time, and customers would be surprised at how much heat it put out, as they walked by. I always recommended it to customers. If they hesitated because of the price, I would tell them to buy it and try it for a week. If not satisfied, you can return it for a full refund. NOBODY ever came back, except to thank me for talking them into this heater.

Classic space heater
It has quiet operation, warms impressively large rooms, and has a tiny footprint. Best space heater I've used.

This is a compact heater that throws off a lot of heat.
I use it in my camper van on cold nights. I almost wish I could turn the output down even more than the low setting. But, it runs quietly and allows me to vent some of the heated air to the outside which helps control moisture condensation. I have two of these now, if that tells you anything.

BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD!!!
I can't say enough nice things about this little handy-dandy device!!!I first bought one a couple of decades ago . . . and now I have purchased yet another one. I use two of them to heat two rooms in my house -- my bedroom and my home office -- late at night after I've turned back the thermostat in the rest of my house, when I'm working at my desk late into the wee hours of the morning on cold winter nights. . It's a tactic that has saved me a small fortune in winter heating bills. Why heat the whole house at a time of the night when I'm only using two rooms. That a tiny, desktop device just one-third the size of a breadbox can put out this much heat -- and do it with amazing safety -- is downright unbelievable. So much safer than the old-fashioned radiant heaters that used to come with a glowing filament that could be a huge fire hazard. YOU STILL HAVE TO BE REASONABLY CAREFUL TO KEEP COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS AT LEAST THREE FEET AWAY FROM THE FRONT OF THE DEVICE. But it's still a great deal safer than the old-fashioned radiant devices.Instead of using a dangerous radiant filament, this little jewel uses fan-assisted convection heat -- gentle, but thoroughly warming, heat produced by hot (but not glowing) ceramic discs which are totally contained inside the device, totally out of sight. When it's running on "low," you won't even know it's heating the room. And, unlike the radiant heaters, the heat level is infinitely adjustable from just barely warm to a powerful blast of hot air -- or use the built-in thermostat to hold a constant room temperature.

Not what you would expect
It is hard to find a mini heater like this that isn't made of plastic....and this is no exception. Although the case is metal, the internal parts, the ones next to the heat element, are plastic. That makes me want to give it 1 star, since the price of this thing isn't justified with plastic parts. But....it actually doesn't have ANY plastic burning smell like so many cheap modern heaters....which surprised me.As for actual function, this thing is superb. It doesn't cycle on/off like other heaters, instead it modulates the power/fan so it is always putting out heat. Even though it is 1500w like all other heaters, it FEELs more powerful, and does a fantastic job of keeping a large room at the set temperature.I would not however feel comfortable leaving this in a boat or rv, as other users have recommended as it never actually shuts off in auto mode, it always is putting out a few hundred watts of heat even at it's lowest setting. So if there were a hot day and you were not there to shut it off, it would cook the inside of your boat. All in all, I love this heater and will be replacing a few aging plastic units around the house. It seems identical to another product sold under amazon prime at half the price(I paid $90 for this listing, but the other is $50). Both seem to be clones of the original Pelonis heater, which is no longer made. From reading user reviews, both listings appear to be talking about the exact same product, likely coming from the same manufacturer. Yet two different amazon prime listings with a huge price gap. 5 stars had I only paid $50. 3 stars for the $90 version that isn't actually metal.

Reliable heat.
I've used these heaters under the Pelonis name for over 42 years to heat my entire home! I live in a super insulated tiny home and a single heater maintains 65 degrees at temperatures above zero degrees. When it drops below zero a second unit on the lowest setting maintains the 65 degree temperature. A small Honda generator is sufficient to power both heaters and all my electrical needs during power losses. It is important to clean the filters on a weekly basis and to due an annual cleaning with an air gun to blow out each unit to remove dust, lint and debris.
