The best ever fly trap!!!!So simple to set up and it works lightning fast!Hung it on the porch in the area we feed the outdoor cats( flys were literally swarming) and within 15 mins the flys were all but gone! Amazing!

The media could not be loaded. Wow! This stuff is amazing and works 100% at catching flies! I have a cat colony and have bought everything you can think of to keep flies away from their food. This product has been the only thing that has worked. I still have some flies in my cat food but I’m sure after setting out more of these the problem will be solved. I bought a set of 2 just to see how it worked first before buying more. I already bought more to go around the outside of the house where I have feeding trays set up for my colony. It’s very easy to set up and within less than 48 hrs I’m now replacing the bait to start over again because my jar is almost full. If you have a fly problem this will help solve it! Since the flies are so attracted to the cat food I did rub some juice from a can of wet cat food inside the container all around the top about 2 inches down from the lid. That was a huge help with attracting them to the bait but it still works without doing that but not as fast. For me it just increased the number of flies wanting to get inside. The smell is strong once it’s set out for several hours but I only notice the smell when I go to stir the bait and add water as more flies go into the container. We have one sitting on our table on the back porch and cannot smell it unless I stir it up. Anyway...this bait works great!!Update: 5-30-20. I’ve already ordered and received 4 more of the fly bait containers and all 4 fill up within 2 days. I’ve already went through all the fly bait!

These work amazingly well. Within a week or two the container was full of flys. However, downsides are: the smell is horrible and you can’t be anywhere near it, it attracts flys. Many more will come to your yard then would have without it.

You are not prepared for how well this works.For some reason my yard has always had a plethora of flies, I don’t know why but it just has always been that way, probably attributed to something the neighbors are doing.Anyway, I’ve needed a solution and Amazon recommended these so I bought them. They’re a nice plastic reusable jar(3) and bait. The first surprise comes in the form of a smell that words cannot describe, that’s the bait. Apparently if you want to attract all the flies, you need the smell of a 2 week old triple homicide in August.So I opened the jar and added the bait, and filled the to the line with water and I set the jars out in the yard to do their work. Quickly I realized 40 feet away from the backdoor is not far enough on a summer day when the wind is right. Nevertheless, I let the crime scene scented jar be.2 days later I went out to see their progress. The nightmare I was confronted with was something only available from the darkest corners of the internet. Two quart jars full of flies, both dead and alive, crawling and even some maggots, not to mention the vomit inducing smell. Oh the smell…Now what? As you approach, the stench overwhelms you, it envelops you. The cost of the kit compels you to devise a plan so while you're mid vomit, you think “I need to reuse this”. So you devise a plan to empty the wretched contents of the jar into a large ziploc, figuring you will have to hold your breath, close your eyes, wear gloves and think happy thoughts all the while.On my first attempt, the one of the rules was broken and the bag was dropped mid pour. The resulting ecological nightmare caused us to run to different parts of the yard, wretching, trying not to lose our lunch while laughing hysterically at how bad everything is. I can’t imagine what our neighbors must have thought, “how can someone be laughing and vomiting at the same time?!” Needless to say it didn’t happen again, we learned the penalty was too great.Do not spill the contents, if you can afford it, just buy new ones because in a few short days you’ll have nothing left in your body and the flies will be gone.10/10 you’ll never forget this product.

Sure it smells like a rotting carcass left on the road after a rain storm and now baking in the summer heat but that's the point. The important thing is it's crazy effective. Flies love it. I hang it far enough from my horses and house that it doesn't disturb us and it does its thing. Makes summer much easier on all of us.
