Great product!
It works really well. Have been using it for 5 months and have no complains yet. Atleast its better than those big step down transformers. The only drawback is that it is pretty heavy to carry.

Nice construction. Looks sturdy and hassle free
Nice construction. Looks sturdy and hassle free. Not many sharp edges or opening that may catch dust. Performs well and does he job. What I like is it’s ability to cut off when it heats up thereby protecting itself and the gadget it’s attached to.

Shocked if this does not work for you !!! with UPDATE !!!
I bought this for my daughter. She has gone to Europe twice and this unit continues to work for her. She did buy another, but it would seem that the mildly cheaper one could not put up with the strain. This will easily keep the essentials on your trip working. She has lent it to a friend of mine going to Spain and I expect to hear about consistent fabulous results. Good Job on this one !! Robust and wraps up easily. It is heavy, but it is robust !!!My friend borrowed this unit, and it worked perfectly for his personal electronics. But reading the other reviews, and some are inexplicably negative, I thought that the following would be important. When you plug in your device, you need to be sure you are not using too much power. This can harm the device, and so there is some home work to do here.1. Perhaps your personal electronic device has a charger with the wattage written on it. What a Godsend that would be because you simply have to add up the Wattage of the devices you are plugging in. Keep everything under the 200 Watts and you are good.2. If there is no wattage listed, you can calculate this by taking the VOLTAGE of the unit and multiplying this by the CURRENT. This will give you a value called Wattage. Voltage of course is measured in VOLTS and current is measured in AMPS.Small personal items normally have no problem, as the tablet I have in front of me requires 5.0 V (kind of typical for things that plug into USB ports - another wonderful hint!) and draws a current of 1.0 A - that is only 5 Watts. I can plug in many of those units into this one adapter. SO, when it comes to this type of personal device, this unit is wonderful !!On the subject of LAPTOPS, do realize that the adapter that came with your laptop is required to do two things, and likely at the same time. The adapter needs to provide enough power to run your laptop, AND charge up your battery. MANY laptops come with 65 Watt Power adapters, and again this is small enough for this converter. But if you are plugging in a few things for the evening, do remember this little Road Warrior secret. Your laptop draws less power than that when it is ONLY CHARGING. So, with a little trial and error you can plug in all of your electronics, and provided that they are only charging, this converter unit is a TREMENDOUS unit to have !!I still heartily suggest that anyone going to Europe will need one of these.Lastly, and this is outside of my area of expertise, this unit can have other adapters for lesser known areas of Europe and beyond where there are different power conventions. I believe that the voltages will still be 220 V, but the actual fitting is different. Do be sure that you do your research on that !!

A very good step down voltage converter!
I bought this to use it during my trip to India. Works very well. I used it to charge my cell phones, tablet and camera batteries. Did a great job. The converter has a long power cord and it is very convenient to place it on a side table and connect the electronic devices you want to charge. I have used other converters which plug directly into the wall outlet and they were cumbersome to use. This one was very convenient as it has a longer power cord. Strongly recommended.

Convenient for Europe
This converter is fairly heavy at nearly 2lbs but is very convenient because it has a cord for plugging it into european outlets. Many of the converters that I found online were designed to be plugged directly into an outlet which could be less convenient in some situations. Also, unlike many other converters, it has a three prong 110v outlet so provides added flexibility for use with items having a three prong plug, e.g., a Belkin USB Swivel Charger.

Works well
After reading other reviews, it seemed like a good idea to test this device here at home before relying on it overseas. This is easy to do if you have access to 240v at home, but you may want someone familiar with electrical devices to help.Since some reviews mentioned heating as an issue, I tried it with no load for half an hour, observing only 10 degrees increase in temperature. Next was a 40 watts light bulb as the load, then 75 watts, then 100 watts. At 100 watts, the outside case warmed up to 161 degrees after an hour, which isn't too bad. However, the temperature never really stabilized, indicating that heat buildup could be an issue if running near the full rated load (200 watts), especially for extended times. I don't think it would be a problem with less than 50 watts or so of load.I took the case apart and found it had no ventilation holes to allow the heat to escape. If you are running near the full rated load, you may want to open the case (with the unit disconnected!) to allow the heat to escape if you plan to run if for longer than 20 minutes or so.Another thing -- the power rating of 200 watts is valid only for a purely resistive load, such as a light bulb. The rating for other loads, such as a motor or battery charger, with a 'power factor' less than one, would be less than 200 watts since such loads require more current for the same power. The rating of 200 watts at 120 volts for a resistive load translates into 1.66 amps of current. It is the current (amps) that should be observed as the maximum for all loads. The product description says `Fuse Protection' but I did not see a fuse inside the unit.

This gadget is very heavy
It does work. Convert 220/240V to 110/120V. I tried it in Hong Kong. But it is very heavy and made my hand luggage unbearable. For this reason, I gave only two- stars For Travelling. I don't think I would travel with it again.
