Q: is it pee proof? it says it's leak proof and i had anorher mat my cat liked to pee on and it went right thru.

I am on here looking at mats because my cats kept peeing on this one and unless you want to try taking it outside and hosing it down (which I do not want to do in January in Michigan), the answer is no. It is a great mat though and lasted months but once one cat got a little pee on it, it was pee city for a few days before I threw it out. Like literally a puddle under the rug. I am switching to a regular throw rug that I can put in the washing machine. I've had cats for 13 years and every litter mat I have bought has ended this way.

Q: I’m putting this on carpet. Will it slide much?

This mat will not slide nor will it hold up to vacuuming. After a few times vacuuming it began the process of falling apart. I got what I paid for.

Q: Is it soft on cat paws though? It isn't rough on cat paws right or nothing like that?

No, not rough on cat paws. Disappointed though as it does not help much with litter tracking.

Q: Where is this manufactured?

I threw away the packaging unfortunately, but if memory serves me correctly I believe it was made in China.
