This is a necessary evil that goes along with the boot. You good foot in shoes with be shorter than the boot foot and if you have severe back problems the way I do I had to have something that would elevate my good foo up to the height of the boot foot. The item it's self is well constructed and you can adjust the height needed by removing one of the pads and making adjustments that way. I have no complaints with it and feel that it is something that is necessary if wearing a boot.

THIS BOOT IS A GAME CHANGER - BUT AMAZON SENT THE WRONG SIZE. Even though I can only wear it with one pair of tennis shoes because it's a bit small, it still allows me to walk without hip and knee pain. I'm due to have surgery on my Achilles Tendon and have been in this boot for six weeks already. My hips and knees are killing me. First day out in this Evenup shoe and it's been the first day relatively pain free. It's a great product, and would be even better if Amazon had sent the RIGHT SIZE!

Yep! I fell in Italy and had to wear "the big black boot" but I would have a terrible back ache had I not had the even-up shoe! My boot is off after a month so it was well worth it to have the shoe! I had L6/S1 fusion years ago and without this for my recent fall, I'd be having lower back issues I'm sure. I'm so tall I have an extra vertebrae!

I Have had 2 different medical boots within last week [for a fractured bone in left foot]. after giving up on UVM medical orthopedic boot and receiving United Ortho boot yesterday from Amazon [GREAT*****] and using the Even Ups on both boots during past 7 days here is my a bit premature review.[I have NOT walked outside with United Ortho boot and Even Ups].I do not like to give any reviews on anything until some time has paced in usage [and I don't write many reviews for sake of time and energy]. I was urged by Amazon to write this review on Even Ups. So....Never had to use a product like this before. Even Ups is stable on non injured sneaker and well made. For me almost there to even exactly up leg lengths. Need just one more slim layer option [making it even more than 3 current options with 2 inserts] to make even more precise.I have been a long distance runner [Boston & NYC Marathons, half marathons and shorter races in the past].I have been seeing chiropractors for over 50 years [chronic back issues and do specific spinal target exercises, cross train, yoga, isometrics, etc.] , use an inversion table and been aware of my posture and leg length for decades [72 years young].This all makes me acutely aware of leg length and therefore my valid lifetime experience opinion.

If you have a leg injury (like thorn Achilles tendon) and have to use a boot like the VacoPed, then this shoe extension is a must if you want to walk comfortly. The VacoPed increases the height due to it's thick sole - so walking with one foot in a shoe and one in the VacoPed is making you limping around - which is bad for the spine and the muscles. In order to balance one foot high and one low - use this foot extender - it is stable, safe and solid - and it reduces the difference in height by almost 90%, which means walking is like walking kind of normal. At least, once you get rid of the VacoPed - the body will faster adjust to the normal walking posture.

I recently broke my foot (under my little toe) walking boot and crutches were fine but just a walking boot, made me “off balance”. So I tried this and it really worked. I was very glad I purchased it. Many people that saw this also commented on what a great idea it was!

I had to wear a cam boot for my injured ankle. The cam boot is taller than my normal shoes. The orthotic facility highly recommended getting something like this to even out the height of my legs. Without using this, wearing the cam boot caused pain in my low back and knees. Wearing this leveler, brought my leg length to even and made it much more bearable to wear the cam boot. There are different thicknesses on this leveler, so you can choose the one that works the best. The stretchy cords make it so that you can attach them to any of your shoes.

Works perfectly! Has saved me from having back issues from walking lopsided because of the surgical boot. It works on my HeyDudes, although the top strap can be felt on my toes after a while. I wouldn’t want to walk too far without something more solid like a sneaker. Have had lots of people ask about it and say they wish their orthopedic doctor had told them there was something out there like it.
