Rust-Oleum 334026 Painter's Touch 2X Ultra Cover Spray Paint, 12 oz, Gloss Black

Initially I bought this to provide a semi-gloss top coat for repainted tire wheels/rims on my car. I was NOT looking to replicate a factory clear coat finish but instead wanted some protection for the color paint applied to wheels that get regular abuse.I held the spray Nosel about an inch closer that instructions recommended to obtain the desired spray pattern and finish. The paint went on very smoothly with no orange peel whatsoever. I did a couple very light mist passes letting each dry 30 minutes in-between. Lightly wet sanded to take the dust edge off then followed with a couple of wet passes. Each can allowed me to do all four wheels. The coverage was good, the finish was exactly what I desired with a light gloss, but not the pool deep look of clear coat.The last coat did not require any sanding or buffing to come out smooth, clear and perfect texture. I've driven the car for a few weeks including through some heavy storms and can say the finish remains durable. The car has gone through the automatic car wash with tire scrub a few times with no visible wear.

Very good coverage, worked great on plastic. Used it on a humid 90 degree day, to paint a plastic case for some electronic gear. The existing color was silver metallic, this matched perfectly. I prepped the surface by masking areas that needed masking, lightly sanded with 1000-2000 grit sanding sponge, and then cleaned the area to be painted with 99% alcohol on a paper towel.Once prepped I moved outdoors and used a flattened amazon box to place under the piece to be painted. To hold and the case, and to protect the paint area from overspray. BTW Amazon box worked great would also give it 5 stars.painted in direct sunlight, bit of snow blindness between the sunshine and the silver paint, but got it done in under 5 minutes. Worked perfectly, stopped often to shake can and change direction and angle of spraying to make sure coats were even and coverage was good.Great product. will buy again..

I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

Worked great, sprayed some mason jars. even though it’s not advertised for glass it worked great! the smell was not too strong and it looks great! i tried to scratch with my fingernail and it took a lot of force to scratch the paint off so i would say it’s very durable especially considering I was paining on a smooth un-sanded surface. i did many very thin coats, the thickness was perfect in the end and cleanup was very easy.

I use this type of paint for most projects. Spray goes on even and dries fast. Coverage is excellent. Does not dry completely pure flat. Dries with a sheen almost semi-gloss. I've used the regular flat black spray and dries completely flat. The matte is one step above so I would say its in-between flat and semi-gloss. One thing I notice is certain parts dry more semi-gloss while others are completely flat. Seems that the paint surface and the amount sprayed will dictate final finish. Overall paint goes on well but you may frustrated to get a nice even sheen on large uneven surfaces.

The other cans of Painters Touch I bought worked great; this one sprayed for 2 seconds, sputtered, and stopped completely which would have warranted a zero-star rating. Except, OMG Rust-oleum is an amazing company with 10-star customer service. I was 2 days beyond the return for Amazon, but an email to Rust-oleum customer service and replacement cans are on the way to me!! Outstanding company which stands behind its products. That's the way to build customer loyalty.

I'm absolutely satisfied by the matte finish this product given my glass bottles and giving my room much needed extra decor. I'm no expert with this product but I have notice that it will rub off if you use something like alcohols and maybe even cleaning products as well. So, do your research on how to maintain it on glass surfaces.

My washer and dryer were both acting up which makes sense because I bought them 10 years ago so I had to order a new washer and dryer set and quite honestly didn’t feel like spending another $600 on pedestals on top of the $2,000 I had to spend already so I just bought this spray paint and painted the old merlot colored pedestals from my old Samsung set. I’ve never painted anything before and didn’t do any prep work other than spraying some simple green all purpose cleaner on them to wipe them down before cleaning. I think they turned out great and it saved me $595 so I’m happy with it.
