If you're looking for a Bluetooth dongle that works with Debian 12, this one is perfect. It's easy to configure, and the quality is good.

Operating System: Ubuntu 24.10 (Kernel 6.11)I was worried this dongle wouldn't work since kernel versions above 5.8 aren't mentioned, but on 6.11 I'm having no issues. I did not install any additional drivers to get the dongle working.My use case - my built-in intel bluetooth module was struggling to keep a connection with my bose earbuds. With this dongle, the connection and range is DRAMATICALLY improved. I thought I would need an antenna to get a decent connection, but this tiny dongle is enough. Before I couldn't stand next to my PC without the bluetooth connection flaking out, now I can walk a good 20 feet away with no connection stuttering.The one challenge if you're in the same situation is dealing with two active bluetooth adapters. I found it easiest to use a bluetooth manager GUI like "Blueman Manager". With that, I was able to "forget" my bluetooth earbuds on the old adapter, and then pair the earbuds to the new adapter.

Works well on a Fedora 41 computer. First disabling motherboard bluetooth and rebooting the computer, it is Plug and Play. Performs well.

I use this to stream audio to my TWS headphones so I can listen to music, videos, and audio books while working out or doing projects around the house. I've been using it for about a month now, and I'm pretty satisfied with it.It worked on plug-in with Manjaro KDE, and integrated with the OS without any additional configuration. It reliably auto-connects and the system even routes audio to it while it is connected, and then restores it to my main headphones when it is not.Audio quality is decent, about what you would expect from something like this. Not as good as a direct connection obviously, but for most non-critical listening this is perfectly sufficient. Just make sure your headphones support the higher bitrate codecs - I knew mine didn't, but double check to be sure. I have some Bose Soundsport Free headphones which are vented, which is great because I can hear what's going on around the house, but they don't support any advanced codec at all. So I end up with about a 500ms delay on the audio. That's fine for me - if I'm at my desk, I'm using my main headphones anyway, but just be aware.Range is tricky. With the Soundsports, it's pretty bad, maybe twenty feet in open air, ten feet if there's any obstruction. I have some Sony WF-1000XM4 TWS earbuds and they do better, but only by about 50%. If you are going more than 15ft from the source, you may have issues. However, my system is close to a wireless router and a UPS, so that may be interfering in my case.Broadly, for this price, I'd recommend this. Sure you can look for higher quality transmitters that go for $50-$100, but until you pull the trigger on that, this should serve your purposes fine.

Thing broke apart when trying to pull it out of the usb slot because it fit so tightly. Also didn’t work that great compared to other dongles.

I had a few notebooks and a PC. I live in a studio apartment and I can not have headphones and walk around, the Bluetooth signal breaks up. I got a Mac Mini and with that I can walk all over the place, including go outside, and the signal wouldn't break up. I thought it was Apple magic but nope, just turns out it was the receiver. I got one of these and magically the signal is as good as on my mac mini. I got two of these so far and they work great on Windows and Linux. You just need to make sure you change what the system is using on the wifi card to this receiver. Linux occasionally will switch back to the internal Bluetooth and I need to change it back to this one. No drivers needed, it automatically works. I think windows has the driver also.

I bought this Bluetooth dongle just to test and see if the built-in bluetooth on the used iPhone that I had bought off that big auction site (you know which one) was working properly. I had to get off my butt, stop procrastinating, and update my installed desktop Ubuntu from 20.xx to 22.xx in order to use this dongle, but doing that wasn't hard. After that I had to install a couple of other things to see if I could play music tracks that I had stored on my iPhone (in iTunes), via Bluetooth, out and into my desktop Ubuntu system and then out to my desktop speakers. (None of this was too awfully hard.) Anyway, it all ended up working perfectly, so I'm happy with my purchase of this item.
