Rewarding
My 61st of this type - cars, trucks, locomotives, etc, from Ugears, ROKR, WoodTrick, EWA, and others. This was an excellent build, very satisfying, with interesting engineering of suspension and driveshaft u-joints. Good materials, including spring drive (not rubberbands; they work, but spring more durable), pretty good instructions, although some peculiar sequencing which did eventuslly work out. The key to this type of model is patience - look at the instructions carefully, be sure you have a clear sense of how things go together and work. Sometimes helps to read a few steps ahead in the mechanicals before starting a subassembly. Sanding and waxing - both important, especially for moving parts. And don't just wax gears snd rotaring parts; wax anything that moves in contact with another part. Wax is also very helpful in easing parts together. I have never had to trim parts, or enlarge openings, in 61 completed models. Toothpicks: no one likes working with them, me included, but they are manageable. I figure I have placed a couple thousand in the course if building these models. Never enlarged a hole. And after the first few models, I don't poke my fingers any more. Wax the toothpicks. Press the part to receive it over the toothpick by standing toothpick vertically, blunt end down. A little practice and it comes easily. Don't forget the wax. Although I am not much interested in the real thing - monster trucks - this was very satisfying to build, and to run. And it does run really great.

Great Project!
This wood project was a-lot of fun to build. One word of caution: be aware of where you put the gear on the rear axle as I completed mine, it ran in reverse. Turned the axle around and it ran fine. A tip as far as the wheels, the instructions call to do the 1s with the circle around it, then all the 1s then all the 2s then all the 4s then all the 3s. This turned out to be a nightmare for me trying to jockey around the wheel with pieces coming loose or falling out. My solution was to start with the 1 with the circle around it then move in a clockwise direction placing each piece next to each other. The last piece is a bit hard to sneak in but is do-able. Be aware that the 4 pieces labeled 1 need to go in a certain way. This may not make sense to future builders, but my mistakes should help on the build going forward. There’s a 3 hour video on YouTube of the complete build, recommend this along with the paper instructions. All in all, this was a project that brought me great satisfaction. The marble maze is next!

Read the instructions carefully! And get google translate lol
I have built a lot of models and read the instructions carefully. Instructions are not in English but it well made that you can follow the printed pictures. May need a little tweaking in showing in color which end goes where. Had to undo a couple of I put it in the wrong way moments. Only to find out after the final build put the winding spring in backwards. Now it only goes fast in reverse lol. But overall a great quality build!!

Pay attention to what side you of the rear axial you put the gears on or it will move backwards
Easy to put together. The winding mechanism can be difficult to assemble.

Incorrect piece
Instructions specify to watch for the “L” & “R” but there’s only 2 “L’s” and the pieces don’t fit. Can’t finish without modifying.

There's a Lot of Very Good Here ... There are Challenges ... and a word of caution
Having built more than 20 of these 3D "puzzles", I have come to appreciate the unique engineering features that each one brings. Among the distinguishing features of this 74-page assembly is the suspension and the very unique universal joint. The suspension is fully active front and rear at all 4 corners. The universal joint is part of the drive-train that functions like a real one as the Monster Truck is driven. A big plus with this "puzzle" is that it is NOT powered by rubber bands but rather by a metal coil spring. The biggest challenge that I found was the construction of the very unique wheel/tire assemblies which surely add to the "way far cool" looks of this Monster. But ... I must ofer the following "caution". On page 55 the rear axle is built and on page 64 the front axle is built. These axles are both the same dimensions in x-section (where the wheel hubs will assemble). They are 0.31 inches by 0.31 inches (7.8 mm x 7.8 mm). On page 72 the wheel hubs are being assembled. There are 5-pieces to be used as the "inside" wheel hubs (192,191,193,190 and 200). HERE IS THE CAUTION. The opening in piece 191 is 0.30 in x 0.23 in (7.7 mm x 5.8 mm). I encourage resolving the conflict between the size of the axle and the size of this opening before completing the assemble of the "inside" wheel hub on page 72. Disassembly of the wheel hub to resolve this conflict is a bummer.Having said all of that ...... of the 20+ of these puzzles that I have built ..... this is one of my favorites.

great puzzle, lots of fun
I have built over a dozen of these puzzles and this was a really fun one. The drive train was simple enough to work well and the spring motor works better that the normal elastic ones. The suspension works really well. The toughest part of the build was the tires, juggling so many pieces to install the center locks ( I found putting on the elastic bands around the tires helped quite a bit).
