Just pour white wine onto the red wine stain. It will literally bleach out the red instantly, walls, clothes, carpet, lace. Heck, you can pour white wine into a glass of red and it will kill the red in the glass ;)

Q: Do this remove dirt stains from the wall as well???

Yes it removes dirt, grime and crayon from walls. It works on removing sharpie off smooth surfaces too (like my wooden china cabinet my children put a sharpie to!) It is a bit abrasive, so it might wear off the paint from your walls if you scrub a lot (just like with a magic eraser, or even just scrubbing too hard with a wash cloth will do that too).
