Astro Tools 80SL 800 Lumen Slim Light W/Quick-Swap System

This things a little bigger and more robust than I expected, still small enough to be convenient under a car or in a fender well. Two rows of LED’s are super bright and the convenience of two battery options puts this light at the top of the list with the competition.I had initial reservations about the price, but now that I have it, it’s clearly with the cost to me!

This is definitely one of the better work lights I have purchased. I like it's compact form factor, the magnetic base is a joy to use and the thumb wheel to adjust the brightness is just perfect for the application. Being able to swap out batteries to continue using the light instead having to wait for it to recharge is icing on the cake.

Don't leave it stuck to the bottom of your friend's car. It'll be gone forever. The magnet is super strong, so it won't fall off, but if your friend ghosts you, you're not getting it back. Fair warning. :)Runs on removable 18650 batteries, so you don't need the charger that comes with it to use the light. If you have a battery charger and 18650 batteries lying around for vaping - that works great. 👍

As an auto tech I can say it’s not a fix all lighting solution but it is a solid light to add to the collection. Sticks to magnetic surfaces very well and fits in most spaces. The charging dock and removable battery minimizes down time very effectively. The hook is fairly useless but it does come in handy from time to time. It’ll take a few drops.

This is a well put together light. Forget about the Amazon specials where you see similar lights for $15, been there done that. I love having the peace of mind that another battery is always in the charger and I can dock the light in the same charger when I’m done. The adjustable light is really nice, my eyes are fairly sensitive to light reflections and I can dial the intensity back when I need to. The 20lb magnet holds strong and also comes with a thin rubber pad on the bottom so you don’t scratch paint or pick up a bunch of metal shavings like the cheap lights do. Great attention to detail.

After considerable research I chose this one and am not disappointed. The battery life is phenomenal and the light output is more than you need. It's a good thing it's adjustable. Well constructed and worth the difference in cost. Another winner from Astro-tools.

Yes, this light is bright.Yes, this light last longer than most lights over 2 hours.I'm really disappointed that the charger base is difficult to use...It took me a good 10 - 15 minutes to get the light to position correctly for the charger to accept it.One of the big problems is that the magnetic base has to be spun an a certain position for the light to sit correctly.And even then, the charging prongs are position on the very bottom.Astro needs to redesign the base so that 1) the mag base of the light doesn't interfere with positioning (i.e. make the bottom wider/ larger) and 2) position the prongs so they sit in the middle of the contact tabs.This would make recharging the light a lot more efficient.Otherwise, the light is very bright, especially against your average same type of light, and battery charge (with the included 22650) is in the 4 hours range according to TTC, which is fantastic versus most others that only last around 2 hours.Surprisingly, this light does not have a power-left indicator; cheaper models have a 5-LED meter that shows you how much power reserve you have left.Lastly, be careful with used purchases as scammers are replacing them with cheap knock-offs and stealing the expensive batteries then returning them to Amazon; Amazon needs to be more diligent about these returns.

Super bright. Perfect that is has rechargeable batteries. One is bigger and holds more charge. Both work well. Holder is great.
