So many functions for a low price

From start to finish I was actually pretty impressed with this tripod.Starting w the bag this tripod comes. How convenient that it comes w its own travelling bag. Only measuring 21" long. Then you take out the tripod and it is well packaged. The ball head of this tripod comes with its own little baggie for few purposes. 1 it keeps the ball head safe from scratching when getting shipped and 2 to carry the extra tool and bolt which I will go into later. The legs of the tripod come inverted which is actually the most compact way to carry this tripod. Take a look at the picture that has the little baggie underneath the tripod. You could see that the ball head is in between the legs making it very compact. Pulling down the legs is very easy to make it into a regular tripod.Once you take off the little baggie so you could see in that picture you could see the construction of the ball head. I really like that the knobs have grooves to them which will make it really easy to use when it's really cold outside or you're wearing gloves. Which has been a struggle with me with my other big named tripods. An underrated future I think is the tripod plate. You don't need to be carrying an extra set of keys or coins to make the plate tighter. It's got the extra invitations to ensure your camera is not going to sway forward or back. I walked around with a tripod n and camera on top and it felt pretty secure to me. The main shaft has two knobs you could turn pretty easily to extend it higher or lower. This is also what helps it keep it more compact that's some tripots in the market only have one.Another cool feature is a you can take off one of the tripod legs and suddenly you have a monopod! the instructions are printed on the tripod so you know which way to tighten it and which way to loosen it. In order to make your monopod work you need to take off the head of the tripod. Which is done very easily with just your bare hands. You could see a picture how they had looks on top of the monopod. nothing exciting if you ever seen a monopod but very convenient that you have two in one at this tripod. But the monopod holds another secret feature! You can take off the main shaft from the tripod, use the additional Bolt the tripod comes with and then suddenly you can make your tripod the height of a house door. Now to be honest I cannot think of a scenario that I need a monopod this high, but the fact that this feature exist is pretty cool. I would also argue that going this high stability is not your friend but I don't think any tripod would be able to have decent stability at these height without weighing a ton. But maybe you're in a crowded place and you want to put your GoPro really high above the crowds this would be perfect.Next you could see a picture of all the components of this tripod taken apart. This is a little MacGyver of tripods. You can make it a monopod, you can make it at Super monopod, you could invert the main shafts so your camera is upside down, or you can have a baby tripod too leaving everything at it's lowest.Another thing I think is underappreciated these days it's instructions and an English!! 🤯 Just that by it self lolNext you can see some pictures of how the tripod legs extend. When you have it at its last clip your legs are almost at a 90 degree angle from the floor. Then you can start slowly making them down how you will see all the last picture. If you extend the tripod to its highest and it's least angle it goes up quite a bit.Overall for the price of this tripod, its features, it's weight, it's portability, it's style and sturdiness (again for it's price) I'd say it's a must buy.I don't have real world example photos because to me those are never useful in reviews. I want to see how knobs look, how legs and build look. I hope my review could help you and have a good day.

Great for the Price

It’s difficult to rate something like a tripod based on price. At a certain point, price means nothing if you’re not getting a usable product. This tripod falls right on that line. Any more expensive, and I’d knock off a star. If the price drops at any point, you’d be getting a lot for the money. As it stands now, you’re getting a well-performing tripod for the price. The first thing I noticed right out the box was its weight. It’s incredibly light for an aluminum tripod. The build quality is adequate, but it makes up for what it lacks in some areas in overall height. I’m a short guy, but I don’t see anyone needing much taller than this. I never use center columns, but even without it extended my camera is more than tall enough for the many compositions I’ve found myself shooting since I received mine. The leg locks are of the flip variety. For ease of use and speed when setting up, these are the the kind for me. However, I’ve found them to be vulnerable to sand and dirt. After my first beach use I had to wash the sand out to even close one of them properly. This isn’t exactly the manufacturer’s fault, because it’s in line with the other flip lock tripods I’ve had. I’d still prioritize speed prior to taking a picture over cleaning time once I’m finished. Getting the shot quickly is much more important to me. Some people find twist locks to be quicker though, so it’s just preference at the end of the day.Stability and sturdiness are just short of perfect. In extremely windy conditions and in heavy white wash, I found the light weight to be a hindrance. It is not, however, an expensive professional landscape tripod so I can’t say it’s surprising. For most people, the stability is right in line with its pricing. There’s also a hook at the bottom to mitigate this issue, so no star knocked off for it.I’m using the category ratings to rate this absolutely, with the main rating relative to price. All in all, it’s a good enough tripod, and worth the money if you’re not under trying conditions most of the time. I won’t be relying on it for waist deep seascapes or ridge line landscapes, but it’ll remain in my kit for everything else I do. On the price:performance scale, i’m very satisfied with this product.

You Will Not Go Wrong With This One

Let start off by saying wow what an amazing tripod for the money. I love how sturdy this thing really is. I do a lot of long exposure shots. (Picture included) and I needed a sturdy tripod that wasn’t too heavy for me. And this is def the one for me. And wow this thing can really get extended. I love how sturdy the tripod ball head is. When I adjust my camera to get straight lines the ball joint doesn’t move all crazy it feels as if it’s clicking. Which allows me to make small adjustments. I love love love the detachable mono pod that this tripod offers. That is just amazing to have a 2 in 1 combo and still have a decent price. I love the orange color it gives it a certain style for my taste. It handled my camera perfect with no issues what so ever. My only gripe and it can just be since it’s still brand new is the locking mechanisms are so tight so upon opening them I have to really turn them. But this I assume will loosen up as time goes by. You can’t go wrong at all with this tripod. It folds upwards as well so it’s easy to carry on the side of your bookbag and it’s lightweight. I am very very happy and satisfied. The tripod arrived a day earlier then expected with no issues or anything. Thanks Geekoto for making such an amazing product and thinking about the photographer first. I def recommend this tripod to anyone.

Solid Performer (for a very reasonable price)

For the price, weight and functionality, this tripod pulls it all together. The Arca-Swiss compatibility makes it easy for me to slide in any number of accessories. The included plate is a bonus. It is well designed: quick release nobs makes extending the legs a breeze, the built-in level indicator adds great functionality, the neck extends unusually high, and the mono-pod is very easy to eject. I would not recommend this for heavier gear and large lenses (obviously not the purpose of this light, travel-friendly tripod/monopod combo). It could easily handle my D850 and 105mm 1.4 with no problem. I would recommend using the built in hook to weigh the tripod down in windy condition and to add stability. Being so light, the tripod alone can sway (a trade-off when using such light gear). The hook is very functional and with some added weight, this tripod is quite solid. The ball head is well made and functional. The directional degree indicators on the panning plane is a premium element and helpful when stitching a panorama. The knobs are easy to use and lock with precision (again, not for extreme weight, read the weight specs if you have exceptionally heavy gear). The hinges are made to be adjustable if, over time, they should loosen (another excellent design note). All of this in one package for this price is exceptional.

Great durable tripod

This tripod is great! I have had it for a couple months and haven’t had any issues besides the bag strap threads breaking. It can get incredibly tall and compact
