Q: Does this come with metal coins? Box states it does, but it seems a customer was unhappy as it did not come with it.

This version comes with cardboard coins. Usually you only get metal coins thru KS versions, or buying them as an additional purchase. Not necessary but indeed a delightful addiction.

Q: The back of the box says this game has metal coins. Is that correct? Or do I need to order the coins as extra?

The Coins in the came are Cardboard. Metal Coins would be an additional purchase. They are not necessary. You don't use the coins enough to warrant the extra cost in my opinion. The other components are all wood and top quality!
