Q: can you put it in the freezer compartment?

In the beginning of the product description it states “freezer”. I would suggest getting rid of “freezer smell” before you use it. I have one in my fridge and it works, keeps my fridge fresh.

Sounds like it works similar to TiO2 - self cleaning paint or catalytic converters.

The CH-Cut catalytic decomposition technology works by using the catalytic action of nano functional catalyst materials,"cut" the gydrogen bond of benzene and other harmful TVOC gases, and the oxygen in the air will react with the decomposition of chain, such as benzene will be oxidized into carbon dioxide and water.
