I purchased this lock several months ago. It has some cool features but the most important one for me, remote access, does not work consistently. I purchased the electronic gateway separately to be able to lock and unlock my door remotely. This is the most important feature for me; however it does not work most of the time. I generally get a message that says I need to be near the lock, which defeats the purpose. I really like the fingerprint access and being able to set up multiple codes. Since my remote access is not reliable, I set up temporary codes for contractors. Locking the door from the outside is not very intuitive. I had to read the directions. You must press and hold the # key to lock the door from the outside. Although I like this lock, I would have chosen something else morereliable for the remote access feature.

I purchased this lock late last year and it worked perfectly until November of this year. I contacted support to let the know about the issue and inquired about the warranty. The SMONET team was nothing short of great and helpful, they issue me a new lock within days of my original inquiry. The lock works perfectly. It was easy to install and easy to use. The application interface makes all the options easy to use. I absolutely recommend the lock.

This lock looks and works great. We originally ordered the chrome but returned for silver to match our door handles. We bought 2 of these, one set up no problems at all. The other I reached out to the company to help me trouble shoot and they hopped on a video call to walk me through resetting the lock. Both locks are working great now! One of the doors will be used for a short term rental so I like that I can generate a passcode for a certain time frame to send to the guest. The other thing that is great about this lock is that you can use a key, the fab, a code, your fingerprint or unlock from the app! Highly recommend!! Our previous lock was a $350 Yale lock so this was a fraction of the cost and does a lot more than that lock.

Easy access with a pass card if I am hauling stuff. Peace of mind knowing the door is locked. Especially with a non door locker living in the house.

Update 11/15/22: the company reached out and sent me a replacement lock. The new unit works better than the previous one even though it was not the color of my original unit. I believe I may have received a defective one the first time. I appreciated the customer service because they could have just moved on from a bad review. I no longer use the fingerprint feature as it will not recognize my print, but my husband uses it. Bigger finger maybe? Do with that information what you will.Overall, I am satisfied with the new unit. Thank you! ****************The product is HORRIBLE. The cover for batteries does not close which causes them to come loose. The hardware that comes with the lock is completely flimsy and you will have to replace them. You need to put caulking around the perimeter if you want your lock to function at all after a little drizzle.The fingerprint feature is a joke. You will set off the alarm for a fingerprint you JUST registered. It has never worked.Amazon support is no help so you’re on your own if you have issues.Complete waste of money. I’m mad I spent my hard earned money on this junk.

Had to return it stopped working the first week I put it in.Update: I was given a new unit after the review. I haven’t had a chance to use it but hopefully it will be ok. If not I’ll let you know

I am editing my review from 1 to 4 stars after the manufacturer sent a replacement. They responded to my original review and took care of the issue, which I appreciate.Original review: After only a month, the lock suddenly died. It simply just died. I tried to change the batteries, but still not working. The lock is not lightening up when pressed. I can't return and get my refund now because the return window just closed a few days ago. This is not fair to the consumer. I would like the manufacturer to either provide technical supports or to replace it.
