Looks cool, performs just fine.I knocked it 2 stars for the silly indicator light. The light tells you the heater is plugged into the wall, not that it is turned on or not. You might think that's extreme to knock it 2 stars for such a thing, but to me it's important to be able to tell at a glance across the room if I left it on or not, and I can't.

Use this in my child’s room because central heat doesn’t work as well in there. It will definitely warm a room. Ours has no thermostat to set it to a certain temp, so you just have to play with it until you figure out where on the dial if high enough that you don’t freeze, and low enough that you don’t turn your children into beef jerky in the night.

Mine is working great at heating up the room. However, it's developed a leak two months into use and dark spots of oil get over my floor.I read online that this is supposed to be a closed system that is sealed at the factory. It is never supposed to leak and it is strongly advised to discontinue use if there is any oil leaking.How do I make a warranty claim on this item? Mine appears to be defective.

This seems to work well enough, since we sometimes have to unplug it, even on a lower setting.We would turn it off with the power button, but the power button was stuck in the ON position when we took it out of the box. It's not worth the hassle to contact the company and return the product.It LOOKS good, though!

Went through 2 of them .First one worked great but leaked.Second one didn't work at all.I returned both and got a different brand

It heats up the room fine over a course of an couple hours (our living room is double the size than most), biggest issue, the heat is only released from the top, not from the sides like others.

Item was not very well packaged, for the first one of these purchased or for the replacement. First unit was damaged and front control panel did not fit or function. Second unit arrived with what appeared to be only cosmetic damage, so I opted to use it rather than send it back- again. While the second unit would function and heat very well, I discovered after a month that it was leaking oil on my floor. The permanent stain is my fault because I should have sent the second one back immediately because of the damage it had received in shipping.

I used this every day during the winter for about 10 hours a day and it kept a living room about 300 sq feet nice and toasty. The electric bill went up just as much as having about 3 hot air/coil heaters running for the same amount of time. This thing rules and you can hear when the safety shutoff turns on so you know it's working.

Bought this for the sun-room for the well-being of my tropical plants. Chose this heater for the price and the looks. Took a hint from an Amazon review and had the heater "broken in" by turning it on full blast under an exhaust fan. The pungent smell expected of new oil heaters disappeared after 8+ hours. The smell is really toxic and you should hold your breath when you go near the heater during the breaking-in period. Heater works as expected. Instructions says to place heater 3 feet away from anything. That's not practical since I would have to place the thing in the middle of the room. I finally find it a spot one to two feet from the vertical blinds, the corner table, and two plants. It's a month now, and everything seems to be going fine.

It works but not so well. I put it in a small room and turned it to the highest power for hours, can feel the warmth only a little bit. Comparing the "NewAir AH-450B Electric Oil-Filled Space Heater" I bought last year from Amazon as well, this one,ComfortGlow EOF261 Portable Electric Heater, disappointed me.

After using it for 1 year during the winter months, it suddenly broke. I would advise investing in a good long-lasting one than this one.

Heats my 18 foot by 11 foot room well (I live in Toronto Canada, so winters can be down to -30 degree Celsius, plus my balcony door provides a bit of a draft), but the unit leaks some oil from the bottom.

Good heater. Heats up my apartment well although, worked a bit over time on super cold days (minus 30) which, I guess is expected. The one downfall is they leak oil.
