The suction cup didn't work w/o the superglue, which I didn't want to use on my car.The mirror clap worked in my 2016 but, didn't open wide enough, plus there wasn't any surface to grip on, in my 2023 eyesight thingamajig.So I used this mount, on a piece that can be replaced, if necessary.Screwed it in and, it works so much better than the others, in my 2023 car.Plus it has a smaller profile and, takes up less space than the suction cup I was using.Bite the bullet and, find a place in a cheap, replaceable part and screw it in.Ram mounts, x grip has held every phone I have owned so far.With 360° cellphone cases.Ram mount has more options than any other mounts, imo

This is a great mount to put in your car, truck, and UTV to hold your phone, GPS, or even a drink holder. I’ve used this for three years now without a issue. It’s an excellent mount.

I would give this 5 stars except for two things. One is that there is no hardware available for purchase for this mount. I got the universal rail mount hardware from Acadamy for Yak Gear and found that the the bolts are 1/4 inch. It looks like all of the "Universal Mounting Hardware" kits come with 1/4 inch bolts. Which is the second problem. The holes on the base are not that size. So I had to drill the hole with a quarter inch bit to widen it to accomodate the bolt. In addition the universal hardware bolts are way too long to be used in mounting this base to a accessory rail track on my Kayak. So in addition to that I had to go to Home Depot and pick up shorter bolts and and spacers in order to make this mount to my accessory rail. I find it inexcusable that ram mount would make such a great product and not have the hardware available for purchase. That is like selling a car without the wheels. On top of that the holes are too small for the hardware kits that are sold for mounting onto accessory tracks. Once I was able to get around that the mounts worked great. They are definitely very versatile and allow for a longer range of articulation versus the Scotty Mounts. But you know what? The Scotty Gear Head mount base comes with the hardware built in so it slide right onto the track out of the package. You need to include the hardware for purchase. At the very least make the holes quarter inch so you can work with the universal hardware kits that are sold. Have to widen holes with a drill bit in order to accomodate a pretty standard bolt size is just lame.
