This is a good book. Beginning and intermediate sailors will learn something from this book. Easy read with an emphasis on safety, as it should. However, the author is not overly cautionary. Cunliffe does not romanticize sailing around the world in this book. He simply implies that time spent sailing and experience from doing so will eventually allow you to. For the meantime, sail. Putting to practical use what you know and continue to learn what you don't. I will definitely include Cunliffe's advanced skills books in my library.

Very useful book. Have bought twice, once for me and another as a gift!
