Why did you pick this product vs others?:It was recommended by my optometrist.Effectiveness:Seems to be working well.

My doctor recommended I use this daily and said it could cause some discomfort or stinging. It doesn’t cause any discomfort and there is no offensive odor. It seems to be doing the job too. My eyes don’t feel as bothersome.

I buy this product repeatedly. I first found it when it was recommended by my optometrist who specializes in dry eyes. It helps to unclog the oil glands on the lower lid (who knew we had oil glands on our lower lids). When I use it regularly, I can generally avoid getting a new sty on my eyelid. Also, if I haven't been using it regularly and start to get one, sometimes repeatedly using this product will unclog, and resolve the issue. That said it can sting a bit - not in the eye itself, but the tissue immediately around it. It's not doing any harm, but can be a bit uncomfortable. I keep a moist washable cotton pad handy when I use it to wipe the product off, and then rinse gently with water which then removes any stinging sensation.

If you have blepharitis - or crust on eyelashes, this is best go to treatment, it works. And you only need to put foam on eyelids, rub it in, not wash it off. It really refreshes your eyes, and it does control my blepharitis, I hate hot wash cloths. or those rubber gel thingees you microwave and burn your lids on. But this gets rid of need for anything else.

It’s a tea-tree-oil based foam for cleaning the eyelashes and eyelids, for massaging nightly to help with dry eye. It’s expensive.

I purchased this with two boxes of towelettes as a bundle. All 3 items arrived together in a loosely packed envelope so there was slight damage to one of the boxes. These two boxes are different than the single box I ordered previously, causing concern. One of them does have a medicinal smell, but it is NOT the tea tree oil smell I am familiar with, the other box did, a bit more, but still doesn’t seem like the original. Both boxes have different batch numbers, both have different expiration dates, one in three months from now. Both boxes have a small cut in the top of each towelette to open them, NOT the two cuts on each side-which is easier to open like the single box I ordered previously. There are no seals on the boxes or pump spray, although the individual towelettes are wrapped. Why are these boxes SO different than the product I received before? I cannot trust the authenticity of this since they do NOT come directly from Cliradex and WHY don’t they smell the same or even have the same opening? I am afraid to use the pump because these products don’t seem legitimate AND I’m out 118.00. Not happy at all, and afraid to use the remaining product. Order directly from Cliradex and order the boxes singularly!! THEY do work wonderfully, this seems different to me, something is not right.

Yes it is a great product. I have used it for serval years.
