The actual magnification is nowhere near the advertised power.The 25x is more like 3x. By increasing the distance it looks like 5x but by then it's too far out of focus to be usable.Likewise, the small 35x lens is more like a 5x, maybe 10x when allowing for very distorted edges, and has a very short focal distance.That being said, I still gave it 4 stars because I didn't expect a glass lens with that size and price to be capable of 25x magnification, and it does fit the bill for my purpose which is soldering electronics.My main requirements were that it would stand on its own, be wide enough to look through it with both eyes thus maintaining depth perception, and have built-in LEDs that are bright enough for that kind of work. The USB input is a nice feature as I don't have to deal with the brightness gradually fading away.The foot/base is quite stable considering the weight of the glass, and allows for many ways to position the lens.If it weren't for the dishonest claim, the product itself would be worthy of 5 stars.

I liked the fact that it really magnifies what you are looking at. I will use it primarily when I am doing my cross-stitch embroidery. My husband and I had trouble opening the battery case.

It's exactly what I needed. You can use it on the table top or fold it in and use as a regular magnifying glass. The lights are great and having that little, high power lens for inspection of small areas is great. I re-crowned a rifle barrel by hand and I couldn't have done it without this correctly or to my satisfaction. Keep it plugged in or unplug to travel across the other side of your project with batteries installed and back to your original work area and plug it back in. Great price.

Although I was rather disappointed about the mediocre magnification level, I was impressed with the quality of the lens, light & stand. The optional batteries is a nice added touch. It definitely has it's place in the electronics toolbox.

I feel tricked . I assumed it was rechargeable but the wire is just another power source. Is not meant to hold a charge. Other than that it’s a good magnifying glass

This is a great gadget. plenty bright and powerful for everyday use. Plus, as a bonus it looks futuristic cool by my computer on desk.

They work for magnifying, but the lights stopped working after the first use and won't take a recharge, but the company stood by their product and made it right. It still worked with battery back up.
