As a Professional Wildlife Photographer that specializes in Birds in Flight, big, heavy lenses are a must. And so are very sturdy, secure support platforms. Shooting birds is a lot of footwork and quick deployment. My go to is a Monopod, and my new fav is the sturdy Leofoto MPD-404C topped with the Leofoto MPG-01 Side Saddle Tilt Head.
