My husband and I are musicians. We bought this for our granddaughter so we could introduce her to music. As introductory pieces, it's a nice quality set. The only piece that might be problematic is the xylophone. It doesn't sound at all pleasant. It's not horrible. It's just not musical. It's more like a thud sound.Please note that I gave it 5 stars. It's a set of things for a child, but in the event another musician is considering this item, these things need to be said.

Perfect gift for our one year old. Have to watch her with some parts, like the bells attached to a few instruments. Overall it is her favorite toy from her birthday. She loves getting to put the instruments inside the bag and take them out too.

Santa brought this for my 2 year old for Christmas and it was the perfect gift! she loves it so much. the quality is great. most instruments are wooden and constructed very well. they make a ton of "noise" but it makes her happy, so it makes me happy. I would def buy again and will probably buy for the cousins on birthdays. they come over and love playing band together.
