I bought this November 2023 and it paid for it self the first year. Mostly used only my daughters 2017 Subaru legacy. I programmed two new keys and replaced her rear brakes, both of which requires use of the tool. Since then I've diagnosed an issue with a coil pack and a few other random check engine issues, as well as used this when changing her trans fluid and brake fluid.I also used it on my 2010 Chevy avalanche to turn off the DOD/afm lifter feature.It's always got updates for various vehicles ready to download.It's basically an android tablet underneath the xtool software, has internet browser real search trouble codes or watch a how to. Easy to use.Very thick and durable seeming, though I haven't dropped mine yet.Get it, it will save you money in the long run.

I had originally ordered the D5S, but I over looked this in the description "For vehicle-specific compatibility, send us your vehicle information to check the compatibility before purchase" therefore I bought this unit and the Transmission Relearn does not work with my particular vehicle. No problem though, because the Customer Service has been AMAZING. I needed the xTool D7S, so I returned the D5S unit and purchased the D7S. A mechanic was going to charge me $389 to do a Transmission Relearn, so I was still happy to pay the extra money for the D7S!!!I received the D7S and was quickly and easily able to do the needed "Reset Transmission Adapts" function.A big Thanks to the xTool for EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Love this tool . Very helpful for these new cars . I have not learned how to use everything on it but learn as you go .

As the title says this was quite the surprise. Haven’t had the tool for long, but it really does cover a lot of points of data as well as some stuff you probably shouldn’t mess with unless you’re experienced. While it may seem like overkill, I still believe this to be a solid investment.

i bought this to solve a few problems that i had. first i will say that this was packaged really nicely, i believe that it would be very hard to damage this while being moved or shipped. once outside of the package and powered up the device has a really strong and durable feel to it. it doesn't feel cheap but for that price is shouldn't.i gave this 4 out of 5 stars due to my own incompetence. i one didn't know how to use it at first but it seems that it didn't have some of the features that i needed which is really sad in my opinion. not only did i read all i could about this but i followed the instructions of others that i had found and everything lead me to this product.thought i struggle to fix all of the problems that i have i did find the navigation easy to use. even with little experience i believe that someone could manage to use this properly though i would still suggest doing your research. there are so many items like this on the market and many cheaper ones will do similar things but for the quality of this and the specs i believe it was worth it (it was just missing one function)

I had a charging issue with the initial purchase of the D7S and I contacted customer care and within 24hrs I got a response. They went over and beyond to sort it out and when they realize that the issue will not be solved remotely, they replace the unit. This is the first scan tool that I have owned, that can take on this many task. I am still exploring and learning to use it at its full potential and they promised to help me. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a full system scan tool with bidirectional capabilities. I just join the xtool family and I am anticipating a long time relationship. 5 stars.

I bought to try out on our mercedes sprinter vans and had issues with it trying to re-learn Nox sensors , no live data on Nox sensors, will not re-learn egr but can open and close it, kept droping of saying can not connected to ecu when trying to re-learn sensors. Live data would freeze on turbo pressure and engine temperature. Doesn't do live tests on def pump or actuator valves on def injector can read if valve is opening and the def pump pressure in live. Regenerate particular is locked out in special functions Customer service was quick to respond but no help, told me to update the system when i had already done so right out of the box so couldn't resolve my issues. On that subject if your buying this for European cars i would highly recommend to sped the extra $100 and buy the AUTEL mx900.The user interface is not very user friendly, when loading diagnostic tools from online it loads a Chinese web page" something xtool is all i can read first "then what your looking for in a separate tab?? Why don't know . Wifi is weak so you got to be close to your router or use your hot spot

How the hell do I get a new product and not a refurbished product. It says nothing about getting a refurbished product. My biggest fear is this product doesn't work or partial work. right out of the box it was turned on when I opened the box. And who do I speak with about this, what's the number to call so I can talk with someone? I have taken a chance and it doesn't look good for Amazon or xtool scan tools. And you only get one month to check it then after the month your stuck with something that doesn't work or partial work. That isn't ok. The best thing to do is send it back. Returns take time and I don't want to be stuck with something that is sold at a certain confidence then failing to meet that. I did not intend to buy a refurbished item, especially an item like this. If you are looking to make a buck, do it the right way. Please send me a new one. Not a refurbished one. Thanks
