Fits 2005 Pontiac Vibe.
I watched videos for installing these, Pontiac vibe is just a little different I think. The shifter cable is on the driver's side, and has smaller room to work with. When I finally got it on, the back of the bushing was only halfway through. If I had to do it again, I would put the bushing on the pin, and push the plastic hole onto the pin. The bushing wouldn't be able to move or fall, and I think it would pop through more easily. Like that it came with a little clip.

Saved so much $$$ and fixed it quickly!
This didn’t come with instructions so I had to watch videos of other similar products to get an idea of how to use this. I took the middle panel cover of my car off but I didn’t have to take out the sides because my hands fit. I inserted the plastic piece in sideways and just wiggled it into place. I then reinserted back the arm into place and I used the tip of some scissors slightly open to push the metal piece into place. I am sure needlenose pliers would’ve been better to use but scissors is what I had on hand. I put the center cover back and tested it right away. I did drop the plastic ring once and thought I lost it forever but I found it and picked it back up with a long zip tie.

In itself - easy to install AFTER removing surrounding interior decor
A dealer wanted to charge a couple of hundred dollars for the repair that needed this under $10 part....charging $50 for the part. Had to remove the tunnel and compartments surrounding the shift lever to easily slip this part into place. Was able to clean the cup holders and compartments while they were off the tunnel --a bonus. Replacement took about 30 minutes.

spend $8 fixed the problem... mechanic shop would charge $500 easily.
This item fit 2003 Highlander. Easy fix. Spend an hour open the panel, plug this item back in with some grease and put the panel back. That is simple.
