Installed the LCD screen in about 1 hour. I could have done it quicker but was careful while removing the plastic bezzle around the radio head on my 2017 Chevy Silverado. It fixed my phantom screen issue. I've now driven the truck for about 4 hours and have had no issues with the new screen. The quality is as good, maybe a little better than the original GM screen.

If your reading this, then I know you've been having the same ghosting/call issues etc. I had been researching online for a few days before I figured out this product existed! I was very skeptical as to whether this would solve my problems and lil unsure as to the removal/separation process of the old digitizer screen from the led screen. However, for the price it was def worth a shot to me. If your a diy'er then you can def pull this off. If your not a diy'er, then you should def go ahead and purchase the pre-assembled version (runs about $200 +/-). I had watched a couple vids online of how to do this prior. This fixed all my issues!!! Be careful removing the old digitizer screen because the digitizer glass is very delicate when trying to remove it. I ended up using the lil 2" small window scrapper thin blades to cut through the adhesive to remove old digitizer screen. The thinner the blade the better. I first started off using a normal carpet knife blade but figured out it was a lil too thick because the screen kept cracking and chipping off. Go very slow! The screen may still break into pieces on you like it did me when you first get started. But after you kinda get a feel for what your doing, its actually not that bad. Use gloves!! Again, go slow and make sure the blade is going all the way through the old 2 sided adhesive by making multiple passes. Eventually you will work it off. Be careful not to damage the led screen underneath! Just take your time and you will be fine. After I got the old digitizer screen off I had to clean off the old 2 sided tape residue and film from the metal frame piece. I used the blade to gently scrape off the old thin film from the metal frame piece (don't worry too much about scratching the metal frame because you will never see it after install). Then I used WD40 on a finger sized area on a rag to clean off the residue as best as I could. I couldn't get it 100% clean but as long as you remove the old thin film and clean it as best you can and dry it before applying new screen you'll be fine. Make sure you check and wipe off screens as needed before re-assembly. Also double and triple check that your installing the digitizer screen in the same way the old one was - take pics prior. I initially put it on the wrong direction at first. Luckily I was able to slowly pull it off and correct it. I hope this helps! There's very lil online about doing this. The entire process was easy, except for separating the old digitizer screen. If I ever have to do it again it will be easy now that I've done it. There are plenty of vids online of how to remove the dash pieces on your specific vehicle. Mine is a 2016 Silverado.

Purchased in Aug '24 it's now Mar '25 for the all too common ghost touch digitizer issue (2016 Tahoe in this case).Installation was a bit tedious but went well and looks like a factory OEM replacement. However, it ends with "looks like" since the problem remains plus it's worse now with deciding which Apps I should use and distracts me while driving with changing every possible button option. It also determines who I can talk hands free with hangs up on me if it doesn't like them.This YWM digitizer brand should be considered for the next Final Destination movie - we all can relate!For the "rest of the story" I've diagnosed it down to the digitizer by removing the digitizer flex strip to the control board. My display currently works fine with no ghosting - I use the "Menu" knob to select Apps / features until I can buy a better brand of digitizer. Salvage yards have complete screens for $100, but you have to match the part number (no joy there yet). GM sells the complete screen assembly new for $918 (nope). After I installed. It was very crisp and clear picture wise. There were some dead spots on the screen and a few spots that i seemed to have to push harder that I should or hold the touch longer than the original screen in my truck. I reached out to customer service, and they were very quick to respond, I send them a description and a picture of the problem areas, and they sent a replacement. I just received it and have not had the chance to install it yet. It is fairly easy to install but take your time. The video I watched was good but did leave a few questions. The biggest thing is to make sure you get under the screen. There are two that are sandwiched together, and it is easy to get the tool in-between them instead of under the one fastened to the metal housing.

Great replacement. Super clear very responsive. Finally no more ghost buttons. The one I had on there was from eBay, lasted a year or so but then started ghosting and had a haze on the glass and touch response sucked.
