Yes, this is just a thin piece of printed plastic. BUT it's got a very specific texture to the top side which is perfect for the 1/76 scale DRIFT cars in the Turbo Racing lineup: C61, C62, C63, C64. These cars have solid brass wheels/tires, and this textured surface has just the right amount of slip/grip to give nice long drifts without looping out too easily or overwhelming the gyro. For the grip series cars, get the other tracks which are more like a big neoprene mousepad.

I bought this for my son. It’s a flimsy piece of printed plastic. Not at all worth the $40 some dollars I spent on it.

So this track is made out of a flexible plastic and is similar to a kids placemat. The tracks pretty small and meant for the 1/76 scale turbo racing RCs. I have four of them. This track is very difficult for the inexperienced driver. I myself am an ok driver and can drift around the track pretty well. It's fun at first but gets old rather quick because the tracks so small. Maybe it would be more fun if I had other people to drift with me but I unfortunately don't. I have a much larger foam pad track setup in my mancave but it's impossible to drift on. I suppose this little portable track will be good for mixing things up every once in a while.
