$48 speakers should not sound this good!
I bought a pair of each, the 4" woofer and 2.5" woofer. The five stars is for the 4" model, but I will review both here since I can only make one review. Please note that I'm an avid audiophile and trained sound tech, so I'll probably be more discerning than most.4" Model - Amazing speaker for the price. Yes, I factored the price into the rating. This speaker has flaws, I can hear where there are some frequency spikes, mostly in the mids. If it was measured, there would be some issues, but not enough to keep them from sounding pleasant. The bass response from these 4" woofers is insane! Very full sounding speaker, even without a sub. And with a sub, they make a VERY respectable system. I highly recommend these for an office, bedroom, even a small living space. I have speakers that cost a lot of money, but I'm not rich, so can't have high-end in every room. That's where great sounding budget speakers come in, and these are fine ones.2.5" woofer. I would not have rated this one as high, for several reasons. The good: tweeter is very pleasant sounding, and while not as bassy as it's big brother, the tiny 2.5" woofer makes more bass than it should. Many 4" speakers don't make this much bass! Like it's big brother, it's not terribly refined, so there are some inaccuracies in it, but not bad. The bad: Build quality is not great. The vinyl wrap has wrinkles in it, so appearance is less than it could be. And this speaker has pretty cheap spring terminals instead of binding posts. It's also inefficient; takes considerably more power to drive than it's big brother. But for $29? Insane! Pair these with a sub and they would be great computer speakers or for any small space.Again...if you're one of those guys who only approve of certain brands that cost thousands, these are not the speakers for you. But for someone looking for pleasant sound on a

Great Speakers for the money!
I bought these speakers (4 Inch version) not expecting much considering the price of less than 50 dollars. I was really surprised by the quality of them. The finish on them was really nice. The only negative I can say about them was that the binding post caps had come lose during shipping and ended up inside the speaker. Not a big deal. I just unscrewed the binding post cup and got them out. I was not sure what I had bought in terms of quality and sound for the price. I hooked these up to a Fosi Audio DA2120C. The sound surprised me! It actually sounded really good! It managed to put out decent bass for such a cheap little speaker! Now I did not turn the DA2120C past half way as that might have pushed these little speakers too hard. I was thinking that I might have to get better speakers later but as long as these hold up I may put that off. The only thing I think I am going to get is a small subwoofer (6-8 inches) to cover the bottom end better. But overall a great choice for cheap speakers and reasonable expectations! I am using them in my office (A spare bedroom). They do very well for this purpose. Maybe not for a large living room though. I would buy them again for my intended use. Overall not a bad choice!

Decent bookshelf speakers
I bought these to place at either side of my bed to play binaural sounds and meditative music while I sleep. They work fine for that, but they lack the amount of bass I like, and that is not adjustable. They work well for my need, but depending on what music I sleep to, I sometimes use my TV soundbar if I need the bass rather than the sound separation.Really good for the price.

Great sound at a budget price.
Outstanding sound quality at a great price. Pushing these with a Lafatette lr1500ta reciever and am using a pair if Fisher xp55b speakers for added bass. I have a pair of Klipsch r-51m speakers in another room and these speakers are every bit as good . Would highly recommend these to anyone that's putting together a system.

Cool little speakers. Great for surrounds.
Got these speakers because a got a faulty speaker in a Monoprice 5.1.2 package. Manufacturer didn't have a replacement and only option they'd give me is to return the full system. So I bought these gems.I'm no audiophile and it wouldn't be fair to compare to far more expensive speakers. For the money paid, they work great as surround speakers. In fact, was watching some movie and there was a bit of a jump scare from behind in it. The surround sound kinda had become part of the soundscape. Well, in the scene, the action was approaching from the right rear. KATHUMP from the right rear speaker. Surprised expletives were exclaimed. Then laughter. My friend said she forgot the speaker was back there. LOL. Perfect! The listing of the product could be a little more helpful regarding mounting. There's a diamond shaped mounting that didn't really work well with my Sanus speaker stand keyhole hardware. Fortunately, there are multiple mounting options with the included hardware. I took and M5 screw that was included and used that. The head of the screw and diameter of screw itself made for an effective mount. I didn't have any M5 nuts or wingnuts to secure things, so 3D printed a couple to tide me over until a trip to a big box hardware store or to make an Amazon order. Once I get a proper fixture, will be great. Of course, all this is N/A if just sitting them on an end table. Also to note, my speaker wires were fit with flex pin connectors for the speakers I replaced. These speakers didn't work with flex pins attached to the wires. Thought here we go again. Ugh. Took the connectors off, raw dogged the bare wire into the speaker connectors and... YAHTZEE! If ya use flex pins, ya may need to take them off for these speakers. Worked like a champ once I did.Doubt these would be great as L/R mains for a home theater set-up, but might suffice as mains in a smaller room. But for me, as rear surrounds, I'm very happy. I don't see needing to upgrade them anytime soon.Hope this review helps you with your small speaker buying decision. Take care. :)
