Although Apple doesn't offer their Pencil in black, this clone does a pretty good job of showing what it would be like if they did. It does almost all the same things as the original Apple Pencil and charges the same way while coming in a nice matte black color. The images in the listing show that the word "Pencil" is supposed to be written on it, but mine personally is blank. There are also three little lights to show the status of the pencil which is an alternative to other clones that use a ring around the entire top of the pencil. In terms of accuracy, I am not too much of an expert as I am just using this to take notes, but from my experience, it works great if you are just writing things and highlighting. If you are an artist who likes to have pixel perfect lines, then it might be worth it to just pony up the extra for an official Pencil and have that peace of mind. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend this for people on a budget or for those who tend to lose their stuff.

It barely worked, and when it did it was hardly useful. Only decent part of this pen was the pencil tips.

I'm praying this doesn't stop working suddenly in two months, but so far it's identical to the apple pencil I broke and for a 10th of the price! It easily paired with my ipad and works exactly like my old pencil. Looks exactly the same as well. I'm really pleased with it. I have an ipad pro. I'll be recommending this to all my friends.

This product is not worth the money. It is worse than if you would just a generic sylist. Does not offer any resemblance of the press thicker line that the Apple Pencil does. Would not buy.

I had a Apple pencil stolen so I thought I give this a try. Overall, it's an so-so replacement.The pencil feels and weighs the same as Apple's product. There is no way to tell if it's charging when resting on the side of the iPad Pro. It has the same magnetic holding capabilities which is a plus.This pencil though requires you to hold it at a very straight angle, almost perpendicular to the iPad screen to work. I normally hold a pen/pencil at a slight angle when writing. This pencil does not recognize any angle at all. If the pencil is not 100% vertical, then it does not work.You can hold it at about a 45% angle to get a broad stroke, like a brush for painting. Of course, that does not work when you are trying to write or mark up something.Overall, it works. Unless you normally hold your pen/pencil at a straight angle vertically up, you will have to change the way you hold this device.

This pencil is marketed as a “Replacement for iPad Pencil 2nd Generation” but should not be directly compared to the Apple Pencil 2 but rather for the features it does or does not support on the iPad compared to other substitute pencils.This is the best substitute for an iPad Pencil 2 that I have seen so far. It is the first (that I have seen) that uses the magnetic charge function on the iPad Air (4th/5th Gen) and iPad Pro 11 inch (1st/2nd/3rd/4th Gen), iPad Pro 12.9 inch (3rd/4th/5th/6th Gen), and iPad Mini 6th Gen. Other substitute pencils that I’ve seen require charging via a USB-C port, cable and charger.I chose the Black color of this pencil to make it easier while doing comparison testing.It’s also available in White color. And, it comes with two spare tips for those of us who drop our pencils.It has Palm Rejection for easy, care-free drawing or writing. It uses the same tips as other pencils, including the Apple Pencil 2. It supports the Tilt function and writes at an angle, which some others cannot.This pencil works very well and supports most pencil features of the iPads with a few exceptions:It lacks the ability to open the Notes app from the Lock Screen simply by touching the screen with the pencil.It lacks the Double Tap function that allows you to either: a) Switch Between Current Tool and Eraser; b) Switch Between Current Tool and Last Used; c) Show Color Palette; or d) show Ink Attributes. Those options are not even available in Settings with this pencil.It lacks the Pressure Sensitive capability with compatible apps.When comparing this pencil to any other substitute pencil or especially a stylus, this pencil excels. None of those other devices can handle the exceptions listed above either, and none of them have Magnetic Charging via the iPad.At a price point that is far less than OEM pencils and competitive with other substitute pencils and even some styluses, this is a high value purchase.Even though this pencil lacks a few features that are exclusive to the Apple Pencil, it still rates 5 stars as an outstanding alternative among it’s peers.
