Very good MP3player
I bought this MP3player for my wife as a gift. She quickly noticed that the player is very good, sound is clear. It is also very easy to use and small which is good for jogging. Overall very positive and definitely value for money. Quickly connected with her phone which is very useful.

Buyer beware
Purchased as a Christmas present and I put just 120 tracks on as a quick test which covered 3 double albums and in file view all files were there and in all songs they were too.Note: All the MP3s work on my own (different) device so it's not an MP3 file issueIssue 1 - Album view only shows 2 albums not 3Issue 2 - Tracks were missing in the other 2 albumsIssue 3 - The odd track was in the wrong place i.e. track 10 - 11 - 33 - 12 - 13 - 14For reference, the track name on all my tracks is XX - Track Name i.e. 04 - OneI wouldn't buy this product unless you have loads of hair you wish to pull out.

Having used a Sony previously the software just doesn't work the way I want.

It's well made and works ok, but could be so much better if the UI were half decent.
The build is fine. It's better than fine in fact, it's nicely built. Sturdy, no flex in the body, feels like it will last a while with sensible use.It looks well too. Nicely designed and easy to access control buttons.Battery life is good, no issues there. It works ok in terms of sound and connectivity. It remembers your last song and position when you power it off, which is nice ... but it could be so much better if it the software had been better designed. Read on ...- The menu system is clunky and not particularly intuitive to navigate.- When you first get it you go ahead and load up some audio files and all is fine ... until you want to add a few more files to an existing folder. The player refuses to sort or play the files by name. Instead it sorts and plays them by the date they were added. There is no option to have the library update and re-sort everything by name, much like you would in Windows File Explorer, or any OS file manager in fact. Why? Such a dumb move. It makes even using the in built file manager a pain because the files can be all over the place if you intend to update your music collection at all.- The menu does a pretty poor job at highlighting the menu option you're currently on. It makes the icon incredibly slightly larger and brighter, but it is by such a small amount you find yourself not knowing where the menu cursor is.- To update the firmware is a bit of an exercise in "figuring it out as you go" because the instructions on the website are not great, at all. Nowhere on the device does it even tell you the model number so you can search for the correct firmware, not even on the product page, nor is there a dedicated label of "Model" in the system menu setting! In case you're wondering it's an M3PL.There are other small niggles too ... and that's the annoying thing, they ARE niggles that could have so easily been addressed with no cost to the manufacturer. It would have been free for them to make a better device! I'm REALLY hoping an upcoming firmware update solves those issue. It could so easily:-- Allow files to be sorted and played by name, artist, date, size, genre etc.- Better highlight which menu item you are currently hovering over.- Allow the user to set how much the fast-forward and rewind buttons skip through a track. 5/10/20/30/60 seconds maybe?- Give better instructions on how to update firmware.- Give better information on the device itself.Overall I like it but I have to say I find it a bit infuriating to use simply because it has been shipped out with poor software, for which there is no excuse. I would not recommend this to a friend. With better software I would, but not as it is today.
