Wipro Emerald Rechargeable Emergency Light (Red)

A superb quality flashlight which throws a very bright long distance beam.The battery holds its charge for 2-3 hours on high beam.Lightweight and easy to carry around Recommend for purchase.

This torch has good luminosity (5W, normal handheld ones are 0.5 to 2 W), has a good beam, holds charge well and is compact enough to fit in the car dashboard for emergencies. Simple button design is desirable, not sure about the endurance of how many clicks can it take. I have taken it for hiking as well, and does not occupy too much space. Just wished it was water-resistant.Decent spread of the light to just see what is below your feet, and the beam is good enough to spot creatures and plant-life in the 40-50 feet range. Visibility for torch-holder in emergencies could be few kilometers in optimum conditions, which is good for spotting by a rescue team if needed (not tried yet).One thing to rectify is the charging plug, seems dainty and may loosen or break after 10-20 charges.Would recommend though, buy Indian! (even though components are made in China :) )

After 1 week of usePros:Value for money.I had gone for a walk for 5 km that takes almost 1 hour , I used it in low power mode, there is still charge for 2 more hours( I think).Distance the beam travelled untill it is dispersed is roughly 300 meter , I could see the end of my roadside which was almost 250 m away, but I couldnt see more than 300 meters clearly.Cons:Build quality is poor ( ok for this money:850rs)The charging is through extension cord , I don't think it last longs, and it may not fit for some power sockets perfectly.

Not soo good light... Charge stays for few minutes only
