Initial Unboxing:The product comes in a cardboard box. This includes the carbon fiber shift knob cover wrapped in a plastic packaging.Using the Product:Clean your shift knob with all-purpose cleaner, an interior detailer, or soapy water to remove any oils or smudges so the shift knob cover can adhere to the shift knob itself. There is three 3M adhesive covers that you need to remove which is a little tricky at first, but once you get that initial piece off, the rest is easy. Line up the shift knob cover so the silver trim of the shift knob is still exposed. Once it has adhered to the shift knob, hold it down for a few solid seconds to make sure it is properly on the shift knob. You can wait for a few extra minutes once you initially apply it, but you can drive it right away since there wouldn't be too much of an issue for it to fall of as it is not exposed to the environment.It feels nice to use as it is quite smooth and adds a nice style to the interior, compared to the traditional shift knob. The only few complaints I would have are when rolling through the shift knob when I'm shifting, it seems as if I'm hitting the edges of the cover which doesn't feel very nice. It makes it not feel as nicely flushed, and I wish this part can be smoothed out so there is no huge gap between the shift knob and the cover itself. It is slightly better than the previous one I had, but it is still something I encountered. Also, I kind of wished it at least let the silver trim exposed on the shift knob because it would help to add some contrast. At least for mine, the cover arrived with a slight scratch on top that is hard to see with the picture, but it is noticeable.Pro Highlights:- Easy to install- Looks great- DurableCon Highlights:- Almost like a sharp gap between shift knob and the cover which doesn't feel as good when shifting- Wish it exposed the silver trim for contrast- Slightly scratched up during shipping- Not real carbon fiberGeneral Overview:I would say it is a nice mod to the interior of your car that doesn't require any difficult installation. Having it be more flushed and not scratched upon arrival would definitely make it much better to use overall.
