Creative kabbalistic exposition
Make no bones about it, the story that launched this saga is put aside somewhat in book 3. You'll find yourself walking with Promethea up a zig zag path, learning about the forces that underpin the universe. The attention to detail is stunning. The artistic themes run closely with the spheres that are being traversed & the narrative cleverly binds itself to the temperament of each.Taken as a stand alone book, this could be seen as tough to swallow. In the wider scheme of things, it's a gem. I'm impressed that the collaborators had both the guts to attempt this and the flair to pull it off.Read it and consider yourself initiated.

Marvellous!
Absolutely brilliant story by Alan Moore, a perfect, beautiful guide to the outer-inner and an inspiration and journey home for dreamers and magic people the worlds over. Artwork is also completely out of this world, it is quite nearly worth your while buying this book simply for the art!

Brilliant and original
I loved it but it is not really a conventional comic. In many respects it is a treatise on creativity, imagination and "magic"The artwork is incredible and really works wellWith Moore's writing.

The imaginarium of Alan Moore
By book 3 Promethea has really found its feet. Now that the character introductions and workings of the world have been established, it's easier to focus on the characters and their plight. The artwork is incredible, JH Williams is certainly one of my favorite comic artists and I never heard of him until reading this series. These books aren't for everybody. There's a lot of exposition involving magic and symbolism which kids and those without an interest would find extremely boring, however; those interested in fiction itself and the creative process should enjoy it. Oh and this volume has cameos by Baron Munchausen, Lucien, Sherlock holmes and Alan Moore himself!

Más que nada, para fans de Moore
La historia está bien, pero Alan Moore se pierde mucho en el mundo mágico de la imaginación y el simbolismo, aunque sea un cómic, a veces es un poco pesado en algunos segmentos.

Wow!
The story arc for this book and the next one blew my mind. It was a completely new way to look at the system of Kabbalah, and the story line for it was intriguing, which made it that much more enjoyable. The art was fantastic, which of course added to the Promethea experience.

Symbolism, a History
An appropriately metaphorical journey through the essence and history of symbols, dotted with action and drama all told by symbols. In a world that values the material and grasps for the definitive while eschewing the cosmology of the watcher in all of us, this is an introduction to the facets of the lens by which we see the whole of our universe.Materiality is a certain lens, experience is another, and a truth beyond mere words is the synthesis of the eternal dialectic of humans and their interaction with reality. It's an entertaining text book on symbols and how even though we ignore them these days, they are as relevant as ever since we've only really changed in the quantifiable and measurable ways that science has introduced. The more fundamental question of the human experience necessitates the more creative brushstroke with which we must each paint the picture of the human journey. This series is most people's first set of water colors for that attempt at describing our journeys. Invaluable.

Brilliant synthesis of mythologies
Moore and team do a great job of sharing knowledge and weaving a tale. As I read I call back to my childhood reading of takes and if wanting to follow-through with tales of my own. Inspirational spell-casting.
