A nice introduction to world geography at a good price. Britian and Ireland are covered in greater detail than other countries, but there's plenty of thorough information throughout. The maps are visually appealing and, as far as I can tell, quite up-to-date. The statistics and initial maps of the world add to its appeal as an introduction to world geography. The maps themselves are quite detailed, featuring major rivers, mountains and cities where they exist. It is detailed enough to provide simple information and encourage further curiosity about the world.Physically, the atlas pages are made of good quality paper. It's quite lightweight and thin, but does provide a fair amount of information.

Not just maps but some great information on our beautiful world. Maps and text is easy to understand and layout is easy to follow

Love the compact size. Took me back to school days with the favts and figures.Quality book.

Got it as a quick reference guide, and compared to the price of other Atlases, I am surprised at the detail.When it came I had a 'quick flick through', half an hour had passed as I looked at every detail on some pages, and the information at the front.A bargain, and I dare say many pleasurable hours will be used to studying it.

Atlas ok but old one seems better after 40+,years

Collins World Atlas: Paperback Edition:I don't understand the review that complained about poor quality paper. The copy I received had very good quality paper. Fantastic value for under £4.

A present for my Grandson to help him understand where all the different countries are located. A huge football fan and knows many of the worldwide teams but has no idea where they are located. I found it very useful as well as numerous countries have changed names since I was at school.
