My daughters are 9 and 11 and wanted to learn how to draw specific animals. I didn't see a list anywhere of what's included in this book but wish I had. They really enjoyed going through this book and the instructions were easy enough for them to follow.Inside this book, you'll learn how to draw an aardvark, emu, giant panda, polar bear, cheetah, elephant, tiger, toucan, giraffe, wildebeest, crocodile, hippopotamus, kangaroo, koala, lemur, spider monkey, komodo dragon, armadillo, rhinoceros, platypus, orangutan, tapir, hyena, wombat, okapi and zebra. A few of these animals have babies with them.The beginning explains drawing with basic shapes and coloring tips. Each page shows you how to draw each animal and also has fun facts. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

I use this as an incentive for students who complete their and stay on task. It is given as a choice of what to do on Friday if all assignments have been completed. They love to draw and they are learning to follow directions and realize that simple shapes are basics to art.

This was a great product. Bought our for my 9 year old daughter. She loves it. Has an eaay time following along through the steps.

I loved that this was a basic book for young artists but that it showed them how to make real animals NOT cartoon animals like many other books/online tutorials. The instructions were great and easy to follow.

My 8 year old really enjoyed drawing with this book-we started by using tracing paper over the images which made it easy to follow & then she was able to draw without the tracing paper

This book turned out to be a great addition to my daughter's drawing class assignments. It helps to practice drawing techniques for a certain type of objects, and does it a fun / entertaining way. I've bought several different books for birds, flowers, animal and such she can diversify and won't get bored quickly. I'd say it's perfect for kids 8+ y.o.

I actually got this for me, a middle aged painter trying to learn to draw. I find the instruction very clear and the pictures great. It is very helpful, whether for kids or adults.

Helps her drawings

I purchased this book so that I could learn (and teach my son) to draw his favourite animals. This book makes it easy, even for someone who does not consider themselves artistically gifted. On my first attempt, I was able to create very realistic looking lemur, koala and hippo drawings. The book is beautifully illustrated and includes fun animal facts on each creature, including their current status (endangered, at risk, least concern, etc.). The instructions are easy to follow; if you go step-by-step by the book, you really can't fail. Best of all, my son now thinks I am an incredible artist. He may be wrong, but I'm not telling. :)
