I had a more expensive set of clippers to cut my dogs nails but the angle was very wrong. You are supposed to cut your dogs nails / at that angle and the other clippers were at a very odd angle. These may have cost less and do not come in a fancy box but they work great........I can bend my hand to get to the correct angle with these being straight up and down.Again they are great

This was a great set of nail clippers for my dog. I love the safety guard to ensure I don't cut into the quick of his feet. I also loved the included file. I have a toddler at home so that helped prevent the rough, sharp edges that can sometimes scratch her after our puppy has had his nails trimmed. Very pleased with how well this set is made and how well it works. It should last a long time!

We are enjoying using these clippers on our 2 dogs. The clippers themselves are very sharp, but since they have safety features on them I feel safe using them (for example: the quick guard to help prevent over cutting). The file is a nice addition to the set to help file off the sharp edges. If your dog is having a hard time having their nails clipped at home, try some techniques to calm them and lots of treats. This clipper should help save us money by not having to go to the vet or the groomer for nail trims. We are pleased with these clippers and file.

They did the job! The guard worked brilliantly. They are pretty sharp, but you do have to cut slowly which is difficult with a fidgeting dog. It's not like cutting butter :) It is important to allow your dog time to get used to the cutters & you touching the paws. I let my dog sniff them & I kept them around her for 2 days before cutting the nails. I also praised & rewarded her for allowing me to touch her paws. It also helps to have treats ready while cutting :) My only complaint is the guard moves loosely so you might have to move it back into position after every cut. Just take your time & try to get yourself and the dog in a comfortable position before you begin trimming. I hope this review helps :)

Great set, well made for a reasonable price. I use the Clippers to cut the nails and the metal file to get rid of the sharp edges. Does exactly what it's supposed to.

These are sharp and cut like a dream. I have to say they are awkward to use on small dogs. If they had a actual small pair I would be happy. The locking mechanism also is loose, so after I cut a nail it locks...and I have to unlock it after every nail. Very annoying. They made it so you can't take the locking part off...duct tape time! That being said I do love how they cut, best ones I've found yet.

We are doing the Dave Ramsey budget so saving all our Pennies. Spent around $10 for nail trimmers rather than $60 at groomers each visit. When I have extra money I’ll probably save up for a Dremel. Easy to use. Watched a YouTube video first. Will update review to let you know if they’re durable.

The cost of getting my dogs nails done was ridiculous! When I took her to the groomer she always had to have them filed down and not clipped. She tried to nip the first person that tried to clip her nails. She obviously has a trust with me that she doesn’t with others and she was fine with my clipping them. I didn’t have the best pair of clippers until now. They are sharp and the guard is great.
