What might I use in the mounting to get more than 2.4" from the wall, to be able to use more of the 45 degree swivel?

I think I would try a glued-up stack of Baltic Birch Plywood.  Attach the block to a stud with counter-sunk lag bolts and then attach the bracket to the block.  The thickness of the block would have to be determined for the specific Monitor/TV.

How big is it ? Can it hold my 19inch monitors ?

Regarding the XMS002, its overall size is 115x115x62mm, equals to 4.5x4.5x2.4inch. It can fit for 10inch-26inch TVs/Monitors so long as your TV/monitor’s mounting holes are 50x50mm, 75x75mm or 100x100mm and weight below 22lbs.

Question 3

mine only tilts side to side but not up and down. i can't loosen the screws either. did i get a defective one?

We are so sorry the screws can’t loosen.

Here is the way to loosen the screws: Please use ALLEN KEY on the top bolts to fix, and loosen the bottom bolts with Open end wrench at the same time.

If that can’t help, please kindly send us your order ID and address, we will resend a new replacement of the wall plate which can tilt from side to side and up and down.
