Grobet USA Nickel Plating Anode Screw 1" X 6" (Pack of 1)

I bought this to do nickel plating using vinegar and salt as the electrolyte. It worked fine! I did notice flaking but it is not from nickel plating coming off. You can test it with a dremel. If sparks are peasant then it contains iron. This does not.

I bought these mostly because I was interested in seeing how easy it is to nickel plate stuff at home. Happy to report it's surprisingly simple and this anode worked just fine. I would strongly recommend if looking to do this on any kind of scale, to purchase pure nickel from a metal supply shop as you'll get a much better price per ounce.

Work great

These things are super thin and I question their quality. I've plated a key and a ring, and there are pits all the way through it now. I've been plating a while and know what I'm doing. You should get a lot more uses out of one than that !

Nice piece

Used for DIY nickel plating along with Krohn's Bright Nickel plating solution. Works great provided the parts are absolute clean.

seems to be plated material that has left a rust residue in my nickel bath, you can see the nickel plating peeling and blistering off these, made the mistake of ordering again before I got to actually use now they are going in the trash and most likely my bath too. Many sad faces.

This anode works great for acid nickel plating small items. If doing this long term, would suggest purchasing larger sheets which are available elsewhere at lesser prices.
