Bought a few books lately for “beginners “ but got lost after the first few pages. This is a first class book for beginners, explaining things in simple terms. An absolute must if you are new to the guitar

I’ve never played guitar before, but my granddaughter’s spare electric guitar was sitting there doing nothing. So I decided I would give it ago as I had always wanted to. The instructions and examples are easy to follow. I am now able to play some basic cords and read tab. This won’t turn you into Jimmy Hendrix over night, but you will be playing guitar, which is more than I was doing before. I have used the kindle version, and it’s a shame you can’t play the backing tracks through the app. So I downloaded separately onto my phone. I would totally recommend this to anyone who aspires to play guitar, just don’t expect miracles over night, just sore fingers.Just a short update to my previous review. I’m now using a hard copy of the book for ease of use, as it was a bit of a pain using the app and playing the backing tracks. Plus it’s much easier to see what you need to be playing in the book rather that on a small screen using the app. P.S. I’ve been playing for an hour a day and I’ve improved greatly. Really enjoying playing and should have brought this book sooner.

I found this book to be a bit too advanced for an absolute beginner like myself but using this and an app I've found, I should be strumming away in no time 😃👍🤞
