Anker MacBook hub
Works great able to connect multiple devices… only issue is if you have a cover on you laptop you’ll have to either take the back cover off or cut the back cover so you can apply the hub. Overall work great.

Includes a Thunberbolt 3 port
It's really nice that this made-for-MacBook USB hub has a Thunberbolt 3 port that supports 40Gbps data, 100W PD and 6K video. Very cool. The other 3 USB ports are 5Gbps each, a little on the slow side but forgivable given the price. The microSD and SD slots are UHS-I. One unique port is the Lightning audio port, which is only useful if you still use the wired EarBuds (which I do) and certain Lightning audio devices. Overall, a great MacBook hub. If you want more USB speeds, consider the 7-in-1 hub from Satechi.

For MacBook 14 inches great. For MacBook 16 inches, not a good idea.
Functional good but not suitable for MacBook 16 inches. The hub will block the charging port. If I use the charging port on the hub, the temperature will be increasing. In the end, I have to gift it to my friend who use MacBook 14 inches and she said it works well. (Edited to correct the information)

works well
my old (brand X) dongle like this was getting to be a sloppy fit. sometimes that meant I would find my laptop was not charged overnight because the old one had gotten slightly pulled out. The new one fits securely and has worked well.

almost perfect
I have had two of these one for a 2017 intel max air and this one. With a case on the laptop to protect it the hub doesn't fit. It would be nice if the hub was milled away the thickness of the plastic case. I have to take the case off the bottom while using the hub, then pop the base back on. It is not enough of a problem to drop a star because the hub works well.

It's flawed in multiple ways.
One of my main reasons for purchasing was to use the MicroSD Card slot to expand my MacBook Air's storage capacity by 1 TB, but the speeds on the card reader are not great when compared to another card reader plugged into the USB3 port. It's really a shame because I want the best speeds possible but I don't want a USB device hanging out of my computer 24/7. The MicroSD card reader built into the Anker Hub is sleek and low profile, the speeds are just not optimal.Furthermore the fit and finish makes it feel out of place on an Apple product. It floats slightly higher than the body of the laptop, with a bit of a lip when it should just fit flush. The color is slightly off from the MacBook's Space Grey and giant ANKER logo looks a bit ugly on a sleek, clean looking Apple laptop. The hub is only held in by 2 USB ports and there's some up and down play I don't like. I could easily imagine if enough force was put on the hub it would just break off and damage my Macbook's only two ports. If there was just a bit of metal on the bottom that hugged the profile of the laptop and secured it in place that could be less of an issue. Then there's this mystery "lightning audio" port that I'll probably never use. I'm new to owning a MacBook so maybe there's a common use case, but I'm not sure what that use case is. My laptop already has a standard headphone port, but maybe lightning audio is higher quality sound? Is it so I can use the awful cheap lightning earbuds that used to come with iPhones? In closing, I bought this Anker hub over some cheaper options because I thought it would be more premium and "just work" for my use case, but it's frustratingly imperfect and leaves me wondering what I should have bought instead.

This thing is a game changer
I really think everyone with a macbook NEEDS this hub. Its so hard charging anything on my macbook pro unless its a USB-C so I always had to bring extra wall chargers for them. Not anymore! Just bring this little hub plug into your computer now you can charge anything and everything all in one. VERY helpful!
