We have only been using it this summer but it was easy to fit, easy to use and works well.Someone has obviously thought about the practicalities of using it as you can open the zip in two places so you can zip up around your hose and also open the zip in a seperate place to use your window handle to open/close the window.You can easily close your window without having to remove the seal as it just folds up as you close the window although it your that bothered it only attached with velcro so you can remove it if you think it looks bad.Reading reviews for multiple products i did see a regular issue with all these kits which we have encountered which is near the hot air exhaust the sticky parts seem to detach occasionaly but we this only seems to happen if you have it taught and they have always just stuck back on for us at the moment.Whether this works long term.i.e. we can reuse it next year we will have to see but it seems fine at the moment.

Does the job but looks a bit ugly. I guess there is not much they could do about the ugliness. Quite easy to install and tape and rest of the material looks like it's made of good quality

I purchased this AC Window Seal as a solution to improving the seal on our mobile air conditioner unit. I was a bit skeptical at first, but I'm glad to say that it has worked perfectly all summer long.Yes, it may not be the most aesthetically pleasing thing in the world - but let's be honest, when you're trying to keep your home cool and comfortable during the hot summer months, a little bit of bulk around the window is a small price to pay for peace of mind!The seal has been fantastic - it's kept the air con unit running smoothly and efficiently all summer long. I've had no issues with leaks or drafts, and it's been a huge help in keeping our home cool and comfortable.

The instruction weren't clear enough on how it was supposed to wrap around the window. However, overtime the adhesive started unstick from the window seal.

My double glazed window opens outwards with the hinge on the left, and two hadles on the right... and this window kit works great! Knowing how strong a grip velcro has, I was skeptical regarding the adhesive backed velcro. I need to keep removing the window kit, so I thought that pulling the main cover off the window would immediately also pull the tape right off. But it doesn't at all. The adhesive is well strong enough to stay put. I have crudely joined the corners with white duct tape, as the corners create tiny gaps (This is not a product fault, as it is a non-bespoke window kit - just Corner Physics!) But I should stop being lazy and sew the small gaps properly to make it a perfect fit for my window. Although this is not necessary. So I would definitely recommend this AirCon window kit. Just make sure you measure the window correctly, as demonstrated in the product pics.

Does it work: yesIs it easy to set up: absolutely not. we tried both the door version and the window version. Both were a huge pain to set up. And be prepared to spend some time cleaning glue/tape residue afterwards unless you use tacks for a wooden frame.Does it give an air-tight seal? : It does do it's job keeping most of the hot air out. But there are gaps. So when the aircon isn't running/ the edges of the window can let insects in.Does the Velcro tape work? : yes, but they are such a pain to clean afterwards, and don't really stick well especially with the weight of the aircon exhaust that it has to hold. you're better off using a different tape and just buying a whole new one next year after ripping this one out.Can you re-use this for the next year: arguable. The fabric isn't as great as the advertised photo that compares it to other brands. Your window seal will look like the photo of the other brands by the end of the summer for sure. If you are careful you can re-use this. But considering this is only $12 (when we bought it), you're really much better off buying a new one every year.

I fitted this yesterday and by the time I woke up this morning the Velcro was already peeling off all around the frame. I wouldn’t buy again.

I purchased this for my mobile aircon unit, for the exhaust to go out of the window and it works very well. I thought it was going to be difficult to put up, but it was very simple, tricky as well, but very easy and fitted well to the window, velcro seems to stick well, worth every penny. 10/10
