I got the smallest one and the biggest one which is also in the photo I added so you could see them side by side for comparison the biggest to smallest and the smallest is exactly what I needed. The biggest isn’t bad at all but for what I’m going for the smallest ended up working great. It fits perfectly in the palm of your hand. If you are looking for large amounts of medication to be crushed I would choose the larger one but if it’s smaller stuff then choose the little one. It’s light weight but is durable. Portable and easy to use. The larger one was also great to use. I was very happy with it when I used it. I am very happy I ordered it cuz now I have both options if I need them. Plus I know there will be days when I know I need the larger one so it’s a win win. Very happy with this product. The only issue I have is that things get stuck on the side and the only remedy I have found to that is using a plastic straw to get the excess off the sides. I’ve had to do that for years with any of these types of mortars. Plastic straw, always works. Just scrape it off the sides and it works like a gem. But I recommend this 100%. It’s a great buy for the sizes, price, durability and use. So glad I found it. Worth it!

Works well. Smaller than I expected but that's my fault for not reading the size. I used it to crush up some caraway seeds for a recipe. It said to toast them first so I don't know if this helped or hurt. They crushed up fairly well but not as small as I would have liked and I worked at it for awhile. Caraway seeds are a dark brown/black and since I was busy with the other parts of the recipe, after I dumped the seeds in my pot I left the item on the counter. Went to wash it a little later and saw it looked a little stained but with a little elbow work the stains came off. Overall, not bad for price compared to others and I won't be using it very often. I would buy again.

It's porcelain, so it's not as sophisticated as granite or marble types, and yet, it's well made. It reminds me of chemistry class, in high school, but it looks good enough to keep out in the open, on my kitchen counter. The pestle fits precisely into the curvature of the mortar. The pestle has a slightly flat nose, perfect for initial crushing. The mortar is large enough to crush one item first, and it leaves room enough for another item to crush at the same time (e.g., spice, herb, chemical, salt, etc.). Grind two or more items at once! Normal washing leaves it white. Awesome.

We feel like the grindability is lacking a bit, but it works well for spices.

I recently purchased this cute little white mortar and pestle, and I am beyond impressed with the quality—especially for the price! The material feels sturdy and well-made, and it’s the perfect size for grinding small herbs, spices, etc. The smooth finish makes it easy to clean, but there is a little less friction for grinding which isn’t necessarily a bad thing though. It also looks super cute! Highly recommend!

This mortar and pestle set is great!It is small but very good quality. It's made of porcelain and has a nice weight. The outside is a very sleek white, but the inside seems to have very small grooves or some sort rough texture, similar to fine sandpaper, which aids in whatever you're grounding in it to be ground more effectively.I purchased it specifically to use for grounding my cat's medications into powder form to put in her canned food, since I was tired of fighting to get pills down her throat, and running the risk of getting clawed or bitten. Before purchasing this, I was using a spoon to mash the pills but doing it that way still left the powder too coarse, which she was able to sniff out and would then refuse to eat the food, but this mortar and pestle grounds the pills much more thoroughly which creates a super fine powder that she doesn't seem to be able to detect. It makes giving her medication extremely easy.I would definitely recommend this set to anyone who has a finicky pet who fights taking their medication.

VERY small (looks like alabaster) set. The pedestal is so short that my knuckles rub/ grind on the top edges. This feature makes grinding large hard vitamin difficult. Does dried herbs and spices in small amounts well. A longer pedestal may have done the trick. Seems durable . Well worth the $$$ especially with AMAZON PRIME DELIVERY.
