DW Heavy-Duty Drum Pedal Spring (DWSP024), Silver

I ordered several other types. I needed a stronger spring and this was the one.

They really feel nice, I love my new DW 5000 lefty double pedal and these really give me the additional tension I was looking for

These heavy duty springs are an excellent upgrade for bass drum pedals. I installed a pair on the Tama Speed Cobra Double Bass Pedal with a small amount of difficulty,using basic hand tools. It was a bit tricky at first, since the springs don't like to give that easily but once you figure out how to assemble the first spring, the second is easy.If you want really responsive action out of your ped, this is an inexpensive upgrade!Found these through the Warehouse deals section for basically two for the cost of one.I have been using them to perform and practice with my metal band and its been a very nice experience, easier to play fast and the action feels great.

If you find your tension springs are still too loose when you have them tightened all the way, these springs will give your pedals new life. They’re not the easiest to install due to their heavy nature, but once you get them on you’re golden! I went from having my DW9000’s tightened all the way down to having them a little more than halfway tightened. Cheap and easy way to make your pedals feel brand new again.

The spring is bigger than the original spring that comes with the DW9000 assembly kit. It was either way to hard to press down the pedal or way too lose no in between but does not work right on the dw 9000. You are much better off to spend the $17 through dw and just get the spring assembly kit. The spring you get with the 9000 is the size that will work best with the pedal not this oversized spring

I wanted to speed up the return of my PDP 700 double pedal. I tried maxing out the adjustment, but needed more. This spring did the trick. The movement is considerably quicker.Just do it.

The spring seems heavy duty and pretty much the same as original, I could not get them to fit my dw9000 double pedals at first so I grinded it down a little so I could fit the springs onto the pully and screw with ease

I see folks are having a hard time installing. First DW designed this spring to be reliable in turn you need some basic hand tools to install. I suggest using vise grips to hold back side of hooks stable while using pliers or another set of vise grips to bend the opening of the hook open further. Be sure to squeeze the hook end with pliers to bend back to original position after installing spring tension mechanism.
