I snagged the refurb peoduct...absolutely no problems..system looks/performs perfectly.Very rugged but still puts out fine sound.Sounded like the high range wasn't great in a tiny room (10x10), but when used in a larger room the system starts to perform. Excellent bass and good treble. I would like more high range, but as you turn it up this actually improves!Also like the ability to broadly tune the sound profile using the mobile app.Love being able to rename the speaker on the bluetooth profile. No problems having other people link up to it.The only thing i find a bit annoying is that the volume steps are quite broad. Many times the perfect volune will be right inbetween two of the volume steps on the speaker. Sound profile can then be used to tine it a bit tho.I bought the silicone cover/handle; highly recommended.Hearing things on youtube videos that ixve never heard before.Not stunning stereo, as it is a single point system, but the apparent 'audio width' of the system is about 4 feet.Battery lasts for a long time. I haven't run it out yet.Primarily bought this model as it had an aux 3.5mm option. Works great.100% recommended.I will update this review after a year!

I keep this in my garage and I like mostly heavy rock and some rap music. I wouldn't say it has deep bass but it does have noticeable bass. The sound quality is pretty good and the battery seems to last plenty long. Overall I am happy with it for the price. I had the Bose Color Sound speaker before and this JBL Extreme 3 is a step up from that in my opinion. I bought this JBL Xtreme 3 because my Bose unit quit after having it for about 8 years.

Works well with excellent sound quality. I bought a refurbished item to save a bit of money. The unit came in original packaging and would never have known it was refurbished. Very satisfied. Highly recommend.

This is my third JBL portable. They all have an impressive sound but this speaker linked with the Charge 5 is a great listening experience.

I already had a Charge 5 JBL speaker which I am very happy with. I decided to give the X Treme 3 a try so I would be able to pair the two speakers together. The sound is pure and ubiquitous. Very pleased with the unit. I bought it as "Renewed" which probably means that someone purchased it and returned it without barely touching it. It came in a new box in new condition, all accessories and documentation new and intact. Very pleased with this purchase! My only regret is I didn't purchase the Charge 5 as "renewed". Could've saved some bucks on that!
