I have a bad habit of bonking my head on things. I have been joking for a long time that I should always be wearing a helmet. The last straw was when a tree branch fell on my head and gave me a huge gash that needed stitches. Now I use this bump cap insert in the baseball cap I wear and my head is very grateful. The insert fits perfectly in my hat (no trimming required) and provides decent protection for my head. You can't tell the insert is there when I wear my hat, but I sure know it's there when I bang my head on something.

I work in a Amazon Fulfillment Centre, and having stuff(mostly empty cardboard boxes thankfully) falling on me is a common occurrence, especially during peak season. Despite constant complaints from the myself and other associates, little were been done to ensure our safety, that's why I decided to take matter into my own hands.Bump caps are not standard equipment for most AA (Amazon associate), they are only meant for some specific roles that have higher chance of head injury. After a few close calls with cardboard boxes, I bought this insert, and it had saved me quite a few times afterwards, not just from the boxes but even a potential serious injury when I tried to pick up some loose items under the desk, and accidentally bumped my head into it (metal, fixed to the floor, very little wiggle room).This is my second one already, as they should be replaced after any serious bump or prolonged usage. I now wear this insert all day, no matter where I go inside the warehouse, lessons were learned and I will take no chances.PPE like this should be standard equipment for all AAs, I really should bill Amazon for this.
